if you feel like riding get some bikers together and go to the parks. If theres enough of you, like we were you can completely take it over. Yesterday we took over kirkstone and seylin:thepimp:

Yep. Kirkstone was taken over. Every skater left because there were soooo many mtn bikers :lol: There had to be about 25 of us...It was great :)
Guess who took 75 pictures with a FILM SLR!??! :eek: (thx jerry :D)

haha that was soo crazy when fraser hit that skater then there was so much tension in the park between riders and skaters then more riders came and the skaters left bwhahaha.
sounds like a bunch of biking kids went to a skate board park and kicked out the skate boarders ....:eek:

Get a life. This bikers vs. skaters feud is almost as dumb as the whole East Coast - West Coast Rap "war" that was happening during the days of Tupac and Biggie (god rest their souls).

Sorry, but "taking over the park" or whatever is fucking stupid. The park is there because of skaters' and bmxers' efforts, not yours. Treat people with respect, wait your turn, keep your head up, etc. I bet you'd all have your panties in a knot if 25 skaters went and sat on boogieman and got in everyone's way and generally shut the place down. I'm damn sick of getting flak from skaters and BMXers because some mountain bike kids are too stupid to learn how to behave in the goddamn park.

NO you shut the fuck up. WE DID NOT want to take over the park, most of the skaters (about 4 left because it was hot) not because we were there. And we do take out turns you fuckwit. We didnt say we didnt know park ettiquette. I would luagh if i say 25 skaters on boogieman.

you guys have no idea how much the skaters worked for those parks back in the day. You should respect that. They went thru so much more shit before the parks than any of you could comprehend.
Imagine if a bunch of steroid monkeys got together every Friday night for the sole purpose of jumping mountain bikers and kicking the shit out of them? Ha ha that was funny when Fraser hit the skater?? I don't think so.

Alls I know is that I've only ever seen 3 other MTB riders at seylynn who haven't been complete dicks, gotten in everyone's way, and pissed off everyone in the entire park.
PLEASE if you're gonna go ride a park, WIPE OFF YOUR TIRES first, figure out the lines so you're not cutting off a billion people, keep your head up, and don't be a dick. If a skater's board goes rolling along towards you, pick it up for him, etc. Someone should really sticky a park ettiquete thread, since there's gonna be a lot of guys trying out parks for the first time with the mountains being closed...

No it wasnt funny, but it wasnt frasers fault, fraser had waited like 5 minutes for this small line, then called bowl then dropped in and a skater skated right into his wheel .. the skater was foreiqn and wasnt very good at english (must have been from southern europe) he was very apoligetic. There were maybe 8 skaters and 14 of us and 6 of us went in to the bowl to help the skater .. while the skaters who heckled sat there and smoked up.

kids .. settle down. Ive sometimes felt embarressed to ride with some bikers at parks cuz they just get in peoples way and the skaters have a right to get angry.... but honestly.. its an INTERNET forum hahahha

You guys are taking a funny little story, and turning it into a war about "respecting ones neighbour". Do you think that if the same topic, execpt with skaters taking over the bike park, was posted on a skateboarding forum, that they would try to defend bikers?
Guys! Whens the last time that youve ever heard a skater talking GOOD about bikers? They don't give a shite about us. They left on their own choice! Its not like the bikers forced them out of the park, theyjust left.
Besides, its about time we show those greasy-haired delinquents whos boss... Why dont we plan a park takeover at Surrey?

I've never really had a problem at a park, as long as you are respectful and don't get in peoples way its all good. And collisions happen, and if they do and you say you're sorry then most skaters will let it slide.
mass takeovers are funny, but if mountain bikers actually forced skaters to leave.. there will be mad tension for any lone mtber at that park in the future.

we could take over bear creek... it wouldnt be that hard tho because there is like 2 skaters there everyday, and they are like 10 year olds....:)
