Hi everybody.
Yesterday I went to the Eurobike, Europe's biggest bike show, in the South of Germany.
Well. Nice bikes, nice people and completely wasted after a couple of hours of constant information bombing...the Demo 9 looks cool, but not my style.
Anyway...I finally had the chance to meet Pippin from Banshee. We had originally planned to meet there last year, but unfortunately I couldn't make it.
He is such a nice guy. Awesome to talk to. We had some chat about the industry, the bikes, his deal with Bender, the way it will probably progress in the future - and he said he would be really interested in living in Munich for some time. Sweet. Pippin - we could make a deal: You're gonna live in Germany and I'll go to Vancouver.:D
The second most impressive person was the Crazy Canuck - oh, man.
I went past the booth of the retailer of Marzocchi, and I saw a face that looked very familiar to me...I turned around and asked whether he was from Vancouver. He said "yes" and we talked for like hours (it seemed). His sponsor, Balfa, had sent him over and do some shows and stuff. Just a really nice person, down-2-earth. We talked about families, kids and the like. I hope you really enjoy your trip, and all the best for your future. I'll pm you the pictures a.s.a I get them developped.
That's it for now. I'm all stoked and hyped up and wanna go riding, but I have to finish a huge mural I'm doing this afternoon.
Thanx to you two, eh.:D
A day to remember.
