Here's what I am looking for:

-Must be below $370 after tax
-Brand new, not used
-Good for dirtjump/street/urban etc.
-If has BMX bb the final price must have enough to cover a bb reducer
-Must have rear disc mount
-1 1/8" headtube size
-Size small or medium (14" +/-)

And I've found these:
-2003 Norco 4 hun ($300 after tax I heard) + Axiom bb reducer ($40??)
-Kuwahara Matrix II ($300 +/-)

If the price on the 4 hun is right, then it's most likely I'll get that. But I also want to hear you guys' opinions and suggestions.

Eric

frame only

but the 2 frames you posted are both great choices.
the 4hun is a proven frame and is covered by norco warranty
the Matrix seems good, it looks like a 243, but i dont know if the quality or material is as good, and i dont know about the warranty

Nah it's okay I am looking for new frames only so there's warrenty. Your frame looks good, though.

Yeah exactly, the Matrix II seems good but not sure about the materials and welding quality. The 4 hun looks good too and the square tubing seems to be working well. Does anyone know the exact price of the 2003 Norco 4 hun frame? Or the One25? They are exactly the same right? Also what bike shop can I get the best deals on Norco frame (Norco 4 hun/One25 frame)? and Axiom parts (bb reducer) in Greater Vancouver area?

I like that frame. But how much and where to get them? I couldn't find any shops in Canada that carries them.

That CroMoly frame is more than $500 CND! Too much for me.

I was a fan of the Kuwie when I had mine set up. It's a nice ride. And if you're paying $300 for one, it's too much. try and get a deal somewhere, should find it for about $225 no problems.

Norco 250cc for $314??? You mean the RAD tubing one (2001)? Or are you talking about the 2003 Norco Two50 (4130 CroMoly)?

That sounds good, so I'll have enough money to rebuild my shock too. Umm but compare that frame to the 2003 Norco 4 hun, and 2003 Norco Two50, which is better (strength, geometry, materials, warrenty, etc.)?

If the 2001 Norco 250cc is $314 brand new then I'd get that one.

2002 was $314 brand new, I don't know if the 2003 250 is but the 1 hun frame most likely would be around $314.

I have heard DMR's are weak. Just because I have heard about things, gives me the right to talk shit about them on the internet.

I liked the geometry of the Kuwahara, with the limited experience I had with it. I liked the geometry of my 2002 4hun better, but thats cuz I was so used to it, having ridden it for a year and a half.
I dunno about the warrantee on the Kuwahara, but its distributed by Asama, in Richmond, so...
Strength; I think Cam was telling me one of the Meyer brothers in Tsawassen broke a 2002 250 in like, 3 months, and then had the Kuwahara for 6 months with no problems...

Of course, I haven't ridden either of those Norcos, so I can just give you a biased opinion.
