I'm in the process of buying a decent full face helmet. It doesn't have to be fancy, and I'm hoping to buy one for a decent price as well. I've come across the netti axn full face helmet, which came up as a result from a google search. It's 139 CAD at cyclepath, which is a reasonable pricetag I guess. I've also heard great comments about the 661 bravo full face helmets.
Can anyone give me some feedback
-cheers!

<== Not a fan.
The Netti is a very cheap helmet IMO. I can't stand the XC helmet type clip on a full-face (there's one on the Netti).
I own a Giro MadMax and it's OK but depending on the riding you do, I believe a DOT or SNELL approved MX helmet can be a very good investment. It's much safer!
My next helmet will be a MX helmet for sure. It's hotter and more expensive, but my head has no price! :D

I represent the other side of the coin. I love my Netti. I crash lots, and I've smashed my mellon against logs, trees and old mother earth. No dents, cracks, it fits me well and it's cheap. The visor breaks everytime it hits something, but I've found a good glue that keeps it together. I've had it for a year or so, absolutely no complaints.

i agree with flipside, i looked at getting one but i couldn't stand the clip. i had a d-ring on my bell full face, and i have one on my 661.
i also couldn't stand the fact that it didn't fit.
the best helmet is one that fits, so if it fits you, go for it.
but if you can afford a little more for a mad max or a full bravo (and they fit) it'll be better in the long run.
come to think of it, the bell bellistic is pretty close in price to the netti, so i'd seriously look at that one. i really liked mine, it just stopped fitting and the small full bravo fit better than the medium bell.

bokinator....different brands of lids can fit TOTALLY different. Just keep that in mind if you get set on a certain one and then find it doesn't fit well. It HAS to fit well to work and also be comfy in the long run.
My Netti fits me perfect..so I like it fine:) And tons of ventilation:D The visor is fragile though...but meh, I never crash :thepimp:

I LOVE MY NETTI. Its very nice the first one i bought cracked at the back on the point because i fell back about 5 feet down onto my head on a bunch of rocks, i think that thast the only dissadvantage to the helmet, other wise its a reall nice helmet mine feels really comfortable fits good, ive broken a couple visors, but thast common on most helmets, its just filmsy plastic, they also give you a spare visor when you buy it just for that reason.

I bought the Netti because it was the only reasonably priced helment that would fit my big melon. Regardless, I've been happy with the helmet. It is comfortable and it feels very strong. Breathability is ok too.
Only helmet I would consider changing to is the Troy Lee, but it's $550 instead of the $130 for the Netti.

And I'd say a Giro fits funny.
Just an example of how different heads will fit different lids:)

I'm on my second one now!
Great fit for me.
I did many headstands on my first and it always saved me.
Now that I'v passed through the toughest part mof the freeride learning curve, I don't plan scratching the new one up as much!

My LG is the same as the Netti, and it's been awesome. Feels great, saved my melon on many occasions, and I love the quick release chin strap. I'm going to install those on all my future helmets, the D-ring system is just a pain in the rump as far as I am concerned.
I've crashed big on mine a few times, both the helmet and the visor are still in fine shape.
The folks here are right tho - go to Cove & JH, try on everything they have. Buy the one that fits the best, damn the cost. Even if the Troy Lee fits the best (which it didn't for me - and I REALLY wanted one) buy it - $550 isn't even equal to the cost of replacing a single tooth. Kinda puts things back in perspective...

There's a lot of stuff at the MEC store that's not in the catalogue.
I was there last week, and they had the FF helmet.
