The one I'm looking at is around $450-$500 and is already drilled out.
Does the drill out improve the performance alot? Cause my other friends new 2002 Jr. T did that funky compression lock up out of the box on curbs. I don't want a fork that locks out on bumps tee hee.
thanks

its different world after its drilled out. i started with 80mm oil, heavy springs and a 1/16 compression hole. that already felt like night and day, now i have gone to a 3/32, dropped the 10wt oil by 6mm to 86mm, took the rebound back by 1/2 turn and the preload by 3 trns and OMG!!!!
the small bump sensitivity is way improved, as is the overall acitvity of the fork. it is now more active than my old 01 super or monster ever were. it still ramps up at the end of the stroke, but it seems fairly harsh at times when the compression carries momentum through the travel and the bushing passes the drilled hole. this is because the oil flow is suddenly decreased as the bushing passes the hole and limits the flow to the original hole only. i have noticed this only on hard and sudden impacts, not on trails with big bums and stuff.
but yeah, i just did the last mod a few days ago. i was planning on selling my JR, now im not so sure, because it works soooo good now.
