I'm in the process of building up my new ride, and I need to know what the general consensus is on routing the front brake line in a shiver sc...

everyone keeps telling me not to use the little dealie on the front of the guard, but no body offers any alternatives!

:)

Zap strap it to the uppers, that's what i did on my big shiver, takes some skill to get it to not go into your spokes, but it works good once you get it. I never had a front brake with my mini shiver.

ooh hey Nate,

Thanks for the tip on the fork... it's gonna be some sorta zap strap system for sure...

btw... did you ever have the headtube faced? I don't know if I should bother or not...

Cheers...

I never did, i didn't buy it new myself. So the previous owner might have. But i doubt it. I would get it done, if it needs it. haha, that sounded strange.

Here's a trick I think will work to use the brake line holder on the guard:

- Drill a small hole on each side of the tabs on the guard.
- Now, use a ty-rap through the holes to hold the brake line in the tabs.
- I will soon find out if it really work, but I think it should. I use ty-raps for the guides on the DJ and other Marz forks with the keeper on the back side of the sliders. Mmmmmm..Ty-raps!
