I was wondering if anybody knew how to easily and cheaply make a singlespeed freewheel cassette setup. I'll be gone for two days, but any replies will be rewarded with lavish praise. Or, if I'm just making some stupid mistake right now that is evident to you smarter folks out there, just feel free to ignore this. TIA

Have you tried a search? There is lots of info on the forum about converting to SS. Here's the jist of it:
- Pick up a pair of old cassettes and rip them appart
- Use the spacers retrieved from the tear-down to fill in the freehub body.
- Pick your sprocket and use it along with the spacers to setup your chainline
- Some people use two of the same sprockets if they are using a thick chain(ie: BMX chain)

The problem is that I can't fill in the freehub body because I don't have a freehub...................................I have a freewheel. :P Any suggestions, anyone?

Freewheel is different than freehub. Check out the difference here (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/freewheels.html). :)

Why would SSing it be hard? Just run some spacers so it doesn't thread all the way to the inside...

......bmxes are likethat, just go buy a bm,x freewheel thingy
yeh, Bmx freewheel and a BMX chain(your mountain bike one wont fit the teeth on the sproket)
I had the same problem but i needed a new backwheel anyway so i just got a new one with free hub:)

Okay. Thank you everybody. And I mean thank you EVERYBODY!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! (Can anybody think of other ways I can share lavish thanks with all?) Unfortunately, it looks like I'm gonna have to do some buying to solve this problem.
