i was thinking about lowering the front of my bike a little, and got excited about playing around with straight (no rise) bars.
what are some straight strong bars?
my seat would still be like 4-6 inches lower than my bars. my bike is sooo small. in this shot the bars are up to my belt and the seat tube is like 11 inches. i think it would make for a kind of interesting ride.

Geez, that's diggin into the past. I know I have a couple pairs of straight bars just laying around, and they got mashed into a couple of trees in their time.
Straight bars are so cheap you may not wish to spend a fortune on them, just get cheap ones and see if you like it. I got one straight bar brand new sitting around you can have, a local bike shop was giving them away with any purchase.

Want me to ship out these bars? They are Brodie bars and have never been used. Remeber, a lot of straight bars are not very long.

no keep 'em for someone local... that's really cool of you though....
don't worry about it. thanks man.
The only decent strength and length flat bars are the trials ones with like zero sweep. haha I dont know what company makes them, but the trials part is a start!

azonic's world force bars are supposed to be pretty nice - i've never ridden one, but, supposedly their geometry ( rise and sweep ) (and by rise, i mean the deg, not number in inches...) is incredibly comfy.... but, 25" is really short too...

Doesn't Titec make a bar called the "Flat Tracker"?
I think they were for sale on the closeout section of their site.
