hey guys, on my evil srs eastcoast edition i am currently running a 44t ring. I am wondering if this 44t is to much of a high gear, when its on the 1st gear it seems pretty low. How will it handle for dh? any body else run a 44t? I also have a brand new 42t raceface dh sprocket but really dont want to change it unless if it will help that much. Is the diff between 44 and 42 alot? I know what a 44 feels like but never ridden a 42, is there an actual noticable diff? thanks

I use the 44 tooth for everything ....couldn't ride with anything less, I just feel with that I shift less and never worry about high speed gaps.

I slap my 44 on when I need that extra speed... like for down hill races, I run a pretty low gear usually and can get the speed of my 44, but I usually run a high "rpm", I think I would run a 44 more often tho if I had a bash guard for it... does any one know if there is a double chain guide that runs a 32 or 34 and a 44?

44 would be appropriate for DH racing
I like my 38 :) I can climb anything.
