New Whistler trail (almost)

Ride down Hornet, look to your left when you're near the end of the trail. Saw mucho elevated stuff, work in progress.

Anyone have the details? Better description of the trail, where it'll start, when it opens, etc.

It kind of is...Lots of step ups and step downs and a few good berms, and a rock drop (used to be called Rippin Ruttabegga)

Oh and when i did a sweep run on EZ....notcied a big rock road gap drop thing...there were some marks on it already and it sorta leads to Dirt Merchant...whats the story on this??

a source told me that the bike patrol is building that trail beside hornet and you will be able to hit it from hornet.its a secret because the patrol are not supposed to be building there.thats all i've heard:???:

Hmmm ... interesting. Not very secret though, cause the new structures are easy to spot if you stop for a second - only about 10 or 15 feet from the Hornet lines.

Also, the guy in the bright red jersey whacking away at the ladders with a hammer was easy to spot!! :P

a couple of guys I was riding with the other evening said it's gonna be a few hundred foot long ladder bridge, possibly being lower dirtmerchant.....they've got part of a trail done off of garbonzo now that ends just above red chair too, supposed to be pretty badass with a big left hand hip jump and some other rad stuff.....lots going on!

i dont know if this has to do with anything, but i went this weekend and off the dirt merchant rock drop, theres another drop like 2 feet before it on the right, the cleared the whole place out and theres a step up like 80 feet down after the tranny, and its roped off, it looks pretty dope:thepimp:

I went up to Whistler on Saturday and yanno how on A-Line you go off the tabletop that crosses the road, then there's another table into a berm and then a really kicky jump? It's the part right before you get to the loose rock section near the end. Anyways, that really kicky jump is crap now. it's smaller and all loose dirt, because right before it you go under this MASSIVE new bridge they're building. It's exactly like the bridge on Dirt Merchant, except instead of going on top you go underneath.
I've also heard rumors of Dirt Merchant goin all the way to the bottom, as well as the second chair taking us giddy riders up higher. Sounds sweet to me.

sure thing man...ill be riding a very black 2001 bullit with jrs, silver fullface, NSMB jersey. i just need to find some other islanders to drag along;)
