a Banshee Scream
a V3 (SCs new freeride bike) or V10
a Cove Peeler
a Clifcat Holeshot
a Norco Team Shore
a BMW
a Mountain Cycle Freeride or 9.5
a Balfa BB7
an Ellsworth Dare
a Foes Fly

Ahh, to many to choose from. Help.

hey i'd love a dorado on mine. i have a 2001 manitou xvert carbon dh and it works great on the bike. It feels way nicer than my Monster T or my Jr T QR20. I think a Dorado would compliment the bike well. It's a fork that could handle Freeride very well, I have no reason to see why not and I've seen (And tried) a few banshees w/ dorados on the shore.

Dorados are siock... I race DH too, and like my forks to take little bumps well. I'm sure i'll figure out how to progressivly dampen it too. I'd rather get a Shiver but I'm getting a good deal from a buddy.

I thought they were pure DH forks and like the Boxxers, hard to tune. Although for a little more you could get an Avalanche.

What's the point of Saint hubs if you don't go with the new derailleur setup? They're fucking cup/cone cheap ass bullshit. Either go full Saint and bitch about incompatibility and high prices on replacements or go zero saint and be stoked on old school shimano derailleurs with good working hubs and other nice bits :)

i have a 20mm rear axle dude i know for a fact shimano isnt gonna make that if your lucky theyll make a thru axle 165 mm but i know it wont be a 20mm

same deal with the rohloff and i rode a rohloff its not that specail to me my chain doesnt give me problems so i dont want to drop a thousand on a rohloff when i already have a perfectly nice hadley i want the saint brakes cause there stronger than shit i got to ride them and they are insane

im gonna get a siant in the front so i can run the brake although if i can get rotors that bolt onto regualr hubs i might just keep my formula and run the dhr on it and then if i cant run regular style mounts ill run the siant in the front and avid in the rear we'll see when it all comes out

the shifter on a rohloff internal is a gripshift just like a sram grip shift(ive ridden one) it just doesnt shift inside the shifter like a deraileur it shifts in the hub but i want rapid fire style triggers like on shimano

and i need a 20mm hub for the last time

I know what you mean, but the shifter is completely different from a normal gripshift. It is not part of the handlebar.

i see what you mean now but i still dont really want ot spend that much money on one of those some one at the camps had one on a four bar design and he had to run a chain guide and a deraileur like tensioner a nd it still popped off constantly

what do you mean buy didnt come with one? i have a 20mm hub for it that i bought with the frame the ellsworth doesnt come with the hub either i wish they both did

If you haven't snapped that Devinci yet, you don't need a V10!

While a V10 is in fact beefier and more durable than a lot of bikes out there......the V10 is plain old fashioned FAST AS HELL:D:cool:
Everyone should have the opportunity to ride a V10 for at least 6 riding days:D(it takes 2 to get used to it).
V10's...while an option...have little to do with being an "upgrade" bike for "parts breakers".

By no means am I knockin the bike. It is a fast machine, I have ridden one.

Just wonderin if maybe the 'need' for a V10 for this rider is more 'esthetics' than needs. How many fast downhill sections are in Edmonton? :D

Loopie

Well that would be your reason #2 for knockin' his choice.(perhaps worth considering:D )
But your first reason was cuz he hadn't broken anything yet.

I love Loopies V10. Its almost exactly the same as Tyler Klassens in Kranked 5, I love the green. If I had the money I would get one.

Here is my bike. Now it has a D321 in the back.

http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=view&image=95382

I don't really like it that much, just doesnt feel right. Plus the chainstay is on its death bed. I want a V10 badly, but that would mean I need a new fork. A V10 with a Super T wouldnt feel to great.

It was fine with a Super-T:D

The '03 Monster was a little much though for a mega slack-head-angled bike.

A Super T would be fine on a V10. 7 inch right?? It would work well for sure. I have seen some with JRS and Supers and they make the bike feel so much lighter.

damian dont worry about the throbbing pain in my arm. i mean... dont worry about the super t. i've seen lots of v10s with boxxers and super ts. i've even seen one with a dj1 =/ (that was just to prove my point further)

how do you guys afford such uber bikes? looks like mine may be the worstof the bunch. whatever it does the trick, and since i only started biking in september i dont think i really need a bigger bike and im really suprised this one is holding up to what i put it through. just a few more upgrades needed then im going to get a new frame. but wait a second... why do i need a new frame? I like the feel of this one and it isnt broken and isnt showing any signs of it. its fairly light and im already used to it. all i need to do is get a better rear shock could someone tell mewhy i would bother getting a new frame?

No fault of the bike...that's for damn sure!
The V10 is FAST AS HELL ON WHEELS thru the rough...pedals GREAT...low, long, and mean...soaks up ANYTHING....
I'm a bit of a gearwhore I suppose...just wanting to move on in my search for the ultimate ALL around bike.
It's a never ending quest I'm sure...but oh well;D
