get a norco. this way people will hear you rattling down the mountain in time to move out of your way.
Wow.. two fragile frames and some taiwan cheese. Not much of a choice. Of those, I'd lead to the bullit, it's the best of the bunch. If you're going to be hard on the bike, there are lots of other good choices out there.

Theres alot better bikes. But of the three the bullits the best. Id go for a frame like a Norco shore though.

Out of those 3 I would choose a hamburger.

Ridden a joker and had a bullit for about 6 months, until the head tube broke off. Azonic is TBG cataolg stuff, not even interested in riding one. I don't know many people who have owned an elsworth without breaking it, plus they are pricey. It makes a pretty good girl's bike. Low standover, even with a 26" in the rear, really light, and small girls *shouldn't* be able to break them. They ride well, a lot like a bullit. I more or less liked the way the bullit rode. The 5th made the bike, but I didn't like the pedal feedback, the high BB and the head tube falling off. So the bullit is still my pick of the bunch, but without knowing what tully88 wants the bike for, it's really hard to know which is "best".

hmm, you must know some harder riders than people I know. I know a guy that has been riding a Truth for a year and a half, another guy on a SUB22 for about 2 years, and someone else on an ID for a few months. None broken, but all were XC riders.

Of the bikes you have listed, I'd take the bullit! There are prolly some better choices I'd make first. (v10, giant dh team, Intense) to name a few. Hell, I love my Scream:)

Your user name infringes on U.S. Patent number 178.854.568.666
Cease to use it immediately or die a fiery death.

Monster Mike, I'm FROM the land of the Banshee:D U.S patent numbers mean nothing to me:eek: Sure as hell hope you're using yours to it's full potential!!! You got what it takes out there to test that thing of yours?? Wouldn't want to see a beautiful a bike as a Scream go to waste. Treat that thing like a red headed stepchild:agree:
MY BALFA 2step DH is awesome, it glides over everything.
i cant wait to take it to whistler, should be there sometime between the 12th and the 20th of aug
stick with balfa, either bb7 or a 2step dh,

I have ridden a joker hard for 2 years now, and not broken the frame!
this is kitted up with big heavy stuff like monsters, and weighs in at 52lbs!!!!
I love it, but even I think that there are better bikes and defiinatly better prices... think scream or big hit!?

Good to hear another Joker Supporter builttoride. I've got my 01' Joker set up with supers, profiles, 321's overall a pretty tough setup and I abuse it alot (DH, freeride, DJ) and no broken frames! To be fair I know a guy that has broken literally 6 or 7 of these things and I've never seen him go that big, so I don't know how he breaks them so much. I think the breakages mainly happen when people land sideways on them. But remember lifetime warranty and for 2003 they are beefed up with 7 inches of travel plus they only weigh like 7.5 pounds. If you appreciate a light bike that pedals well then the Joker is for you. If you only do huge hucks and aren't the smoothest rider or if you are a big guy maybe look elsewhere.

listen to disco stu... he likes disco music!
I neglected to mention that I rode whistler a lot last summer and have done a fair bit of DJ'ing plus up to around the 15-18 foot drop mark on my 2001 joker!
I dunno maybe it depends on the individual frame? some must be stronger than others?
But I have never had a problem with the frame... and the warrenty is second to none from what i have heard!:)

out of those i would chose the buillit but there are lots of other nicer bikes around the same price.
Yeti asx
banshee scream
norco shore would be sick up there.
I would want something without brake jack up there, that was the only grip with my orange patriot 7 up there.
next year i am getting a floater for my trip up there.
maybe the rmx.
demo 9
santa cruz v 8 when it comes out next year.

I wouldn'd mind an 03 Norco shore. Looks good but it isn't as loud as the traditional norcos so i might have to go for a 02 norco.

Plus don't forget the Ellsworth Flow riders go huge on jokers. Back when Tyler Klassen was with them I think he did something like 30 feet on a joker with Dorados, I saw the video and the frame looked to handle it fine. I think thats also what he rode for his UFC 1 video. I know they are sponsored and so if there frame breaks it gets replaced immediately, but it couldn't be that big of a problem because they are riding in front of huge crowds and it wouldn't be very good publicity for Ellsworth if they were breaking frames in front of potential customers, and yes they do ride the Joker and not just the Dare. I usually only push my joker to 12 foot or so range max, but I have not seen any sign of failure yet.
Discostu don't advertise.
actualyl i think Danger Dan went throu Jokers like a fat kid eating pretzels...
but then again he busts some big moves...;)
