Heavier Spring?

if i'm switching springs for something heavier, do i want to up the weight? (ie: 750 to 900) or up the rate?

or do i up the weight and keep the rate the same:???:

spring rate is the same thing as spring weight...

i have an 800x2.3" spring that's too heavy for me. i would like a 700x2.3". if that's what you've got, and i've got what you want, PM me for a trade!

paid $75 for it, used it for a day. so you know the spring is mint.
