View Full Version : riding in Hope/Princeton?

does anyone on here live in or has ridden in hope or princeton? or manning park for that matter. I'm thinking about taking a week and going out to kamloops or something, then on the way back hitting merritt, and staying with a friend at vetter mountain, but I was hoping I could also make another stop in any of those three spots, or all if the riding is good.

Manning is all XC. So is the riding in Princeton although there are trails at the xc skiing area. The riding is very dry and dusty. Your best bet are some trails around Hope - see www.bikeshack.ca

There are awesome trails in Vedder. Contact Fracture Products for more info or Jacks' bike shop. There are no maps other than some crappy ones at Darrin Polischuks Mountain Biking in BC site.

So what kind of riding do you want to do?

what kind of xc is it? all uphill fireroad?

some nice singletrack would be awesome, without too much climbing (meaning, none)

your bikeshack link didn't work, is that a shop in hope? are there other shops that I can look up while I'm there? and can I just look up either of the bike shops for vedder mountain in the phone book while I'm there? (I'm guessing fracture products is a shop)

http://www.fracture.ca/ ask very nicely and maybe they've got a group ride going out THey are very fast guys though so be warned. That's for Vedder.

I don't know the Shop in hope. You'd have to phone around. Same for the bike shop in Vedder. You'll have to phone them

I would say that the xc type trails in the Princeton area are nice but require lots of going up so if you're not into that then I would give them a miss.
