View Full Version : North Shore Sports Swap is the Best Store!!

North Shore Sports Swap is the best store. My bike was stolen from them about a week ago and I felt really bad when I heard about it. But, they are replacing my bike with a bike that is better and I think that this is very generous. This gives them a good reputation and it keeps me happy and reassured about my bike. If you're looking for mainly used or sometimes new parts go to North Shore Sports Swap because they have good deals and they're really nice people. As far as my old bike goes, I don't really care if I find it because I'll have another bike but if I do I will probably give it to North Shore Sports Swap to sell. Thanks for your time guys. Cheers to NSSS (North Shore Sports Swap):)

Haha, and why's that?
didnt you see the thread from a few days ago?
he was going on how his bike got stolen from the shop, and he didnt want it to be found. even if it was found he ddint want the police getting involved, so that way he could get a new bike and his old one
seems like thats what he had planned

You posting this lame apology just after you get a brand new bike seems damn self serving to me, and less then honnest rather then dumb.

Agreed. If you want to repent, give the bike back and pay for any upgrades like everyone else.

Seriously, you guys are being sortov close minded. I can almost garuntee if you guys were in the same situation as him you would want a better bike then the one you had that got stolen.
If the bike was stolen from the shop, It is the shops responsibility to replace it. Whether or not the replacement bike is better or shittier then the one he had before is up to the guys at the shop. The guys at the shop are obviously nice guys and they are going to give him a nicer bike because they feel bad that his got stolen.
Even though his comment to "not call the police" if you find his old bike was stupid and wrong. Im positive if you were in the same situation, YOU would want a nicer bike then your previous one for sure.

By this guys logic, and yours I should try for one of these if I were to have my bike stolen

Somehow that doesn't seem fair or right to me, only that instead of one rip off, now there are two

i feel bad that the shop has to lose money instead of you. you left the bike out and unattended ... why should the shop pay? THEY SHOULDNT! im sure its sweet for you to get something good for absolutely nothing, but in all honesty you should feel bad for accepting the bike free. pay cost for it so the shop breaks even. personally i doubt you're appology if thats what you wanna call it was sincere. anyhow im out

Dude it was stolen FROM the shop so it is their responsibility to replace it. I locked up my bike every single night at home and then when I bring it in to the shop and it gets stolen under their responsibility I have to pay for it and I didnt even get to sell my old bike-I don't think so buddy.

Also responding to Dom about doing the honourable thing-It was not my fault!!. If your bike was stolen from a shop n it was their fault but they were very nice about it and they agreed to replace it and give you a bike I don't think you would turn that offer down so stop raggin on me about doin the damn "honourable Thing". Just stop man-why don't you do the honourable thing and just shut up-I think everyone would appreciate that.

Of course it was not your fault if your bike got stolen but YOU decided to not tell the cops about this in the expectation your would get a better bike. So stop playing to offended virgin and deal with the consequences.
Now for the part about you telling me;
"Just stop man-why don't you do the honourable thing and just shut up-I think everyone would appreciate that"

What I think about all this is that will the pill guy is a kid who doesn't think before he talks. North Shore Sports Swap made the mistake of leaving he's crapy old Brodie brat out behind the shop where nobody could see it. As for what will the pill has posted on this forum, I showed it to my boss (Rick) and he didn't think to much of it mostly because will the pill is a imature kid. It was 100% our fault that the bike got stolen but we replased it with a better Kuwahara Matrix 2 because it would have cost the store much more to replace the Brodie Brat.
Anyway, NSSS is still a rad place to shop for new and used bike parts. BTW we don't leave bikes out back anymore :P

looks like will is a pill , but is learning lifes' lessons the hard way . good on ya for manning up , but man , you gotta really think before you act ( and post on the internet ) .
to be asking people not to report your missing bike really smells of conspiracy , as though you really did want your bike to get ripped off so someone else ( the shop ) would have to replace it . . . . not cool at all .
but like i said , you learn your lessons when they present themselves , and it sounds like you did . maybe as a token of appreciation you could volunteer to do some shit work around the shop for free , maybe learn a little bit about the business , and do some growing up while you are at it . might make them feel a bit better about the whole thing as well , after all , they did right by you , why not return the favor ?
as for the shop , it is a great place . i never make a trip to the city without stopping by to see what deals they might have . picked up a nice , near new , pair of shimano shoes for 30 $ the other day . i did have to scrounge the shelves to find them , but that is part of the fun .
good luck in your new location !
