You don't have to be a member to join the trail days, although it would help to give back to the trails you ride. If you really can't scrape together $20 (less than a tire!) to donate for a year's worth of karma, then just PM your full name, mailing address, postal code, and e-mail address to myself or Fergs. We will add you to the membership list.:)

That's cool of you to donate. I won't be there but Fergs should be there taking down names. If not, ask for Sharon or Lee Lau.

Just bring/ride your bike and park it where you will be working. You'll be working in one spot so it will be secure. Although it may prevent you from getting some grub at lunchtime (usually served at the trail head).
If someone dares to steal your bike while you are doing trail maintenance, it is etched in stone that they will die a thousand deaths.;)
Trail days are fun. You'll like it and learn a lot.

So we have to donate money or join the nsmba to come to a trail day? I am still confused. I have never ridden the shore but I still want to come out and help.
You don't have to do anything to come other than, well, come.
While you are there fergs or kenji will take your name down, and make you a member of the nsmba (free). Any donations are up to you.
You are not able to toonie race unless you pay at least 20, but that's over for this year so don't worry.

Awesome. When you start riding the Shore, consider becoming a paid member for a measly $20 donation. Your donation will go to tools and materials for maintaining Shore trails.:)
What are the twoonie races? Where?

Passing people is so much fun...:D
If you get passed on the climbs, you take it back on the descent.
This still hasn't been answered: What bus to take from the seabus or phibbs exchange?
LeeLau

ATN, if you're at Phibbs exchange by 8:45 I can pick you up.

ok you go up mountain highway, you turn left onto dempsey, and the trail should be there. i know of the trail from the baden powel trail, and in relation to where it is on the baden powel i ahve an idea of where the trail enterance is from the bottom, but i am not sure. Could someone help me out with a bit clearer directions?
Yeah we need help of you want us there lol, we are ignorant city boys haha. BTW, how long does it go for normally? Is it cool if we can only stay working till like noon? Or 1?

Sharon or somebody else will have to respond as far as giving directions.
The trail days usually go until about 3 pm, with some people staying longer to finish their sections. Stay as long as you can, whatever number of hours you can put in is appreciated. It all goes to your karma bank. ;)

ok so i'm assuming what i said earlier is right about where we meet for the trailday.

243_ht, I'm sorry no one has responded yet to your question.
At the risk of confusing things further (I'm no expert on Fromme), you would be meeting at the Dempsey Trail head where Braemar meets Dempsey. So, turn left on Dempsey, drive over Kilmer Creek and you should see the Dempsey Trail head. There should be a people milling about at the trail head between 9:00 and 9:30, if not then they will already be up the trail.

your welcome sharon. and thanks again for the ride up seymour! Much appreciated. Thank you Steed for my fancy Steed Cycles shirt. It's rankin on the pimp factor in full ground effect.
I felt we really connected with the hikers that day, except the weird arrow, shield and battleaxe guys.
NSMBA has done a good job lately of getting resident, BC parks and DNV cooperation, ontop of the solid LSCR and GVRD foundation.

We had to hold Jeremy and his chainsaw back off those guys with the arrows...
On the ad it said Dakine and Norco were sponsoring this trail day as well. Did that fall though?
