Sorry, but I think it's pretty sad when more people are interested in some dumb rumour than:
1. Lee's thread which pertains to potential trail closures on Fromme.
2. Sharon's thread trying to get people interested in rebuilding Empress. Then I read that not one North Van kid went to help on Empress yesterday.
Time to get real people.

When I read this kind post I get so pissed I can't understand why there isn't a line up to help build trails. Those are some of the BEST trails in the world.
Not to sound like a turd or that I think I better then anyone else but I live in Ontario, road "your" trails for one week and want to come out on weekends and ride, saying that I also plan on spending time doing trail maintenance.
I'd hate to see those trails closed, I'm sure there are a tone of places to ride in BC but I would guess there are not to many places in the world that have a world class trail system minutes from a down town core.
Some of you just don't GET IT, take care of what you have.

Man, do people know how FUN it is to build trails? I think a lot of ppl think its a chore, like hard labour, but its not at all. Building stuff (especially with a crew of talented ppl) is the funnest thing ever, you can stand back and be like "holy crap, i saved this stunt, i fixed this section of the trail, a BUILT that launch" and every time you hit it, it's twice as rewarding.

All hes saying is that some of us, yes I am one too, we pay attention sometimes to something thats sooo not as important as another issue....sure it may be more interesting knowing DW did a road Gap over the Tour De France, but who carezs honestly? Its a world class video with soo much insane riding that anybody could take in...regardless the Road Gap over the TDF..I totally agree with Dirt Deeds, instead of ranting on about some rumor that we WILL find out is true or not, we should be out building trails and helping to maintain this workd class trail system you folks have the honour of riding on. Do your part, I know lots of you build trails and what not, and props go out hardcore to you locs, but for those that take advantage of the system, please take into consideration that without more people pitching in, these trails will become mearly a thing of the past.

 I looked at the gap and I got spooked....But shane was very helpful and helped me get the confidence to just go for it. Things went so well in the air, I thought I'd just go ahead and throw down a suicide no hander just to get the driver's attention. The landing was butter.
