Here's the skinny.

In september I'll be riding a 13" vert d/o .243. I'm darned near 6'2" and since I'm a fromme loving type of guy, I have to be able to ride it up hills. Based on the size of the seat tube I'm thinking I'll need a fairly long seatpost.

Anyone know how long the .243 seatposts are? What do the rest of you tall people with tiny bikes do?

12" exactly dude.

I crank mine right up for climbing, looks retarded but saves my knees :)

So you find it's long enough then Clay? I'll be having mine right up there too. :) I can't wait to lock out the front and haul ass up fromme!

It's either that, or I have to find an alternative. I don't want a Raceface post, and Thomsons are waaaaaaaaay too much green for a post.

Well, I am about 5'11" and it is fine for me.

The minimum recommended insert is 3.5", leaving you with 8.5" of exposed seatpost.
