Anyone know much about this tire? I need a new one and this reminds me a lot about the Gazz Jr. Is it the same size? Will it fit a 2003 Z.1 FR Arch? Anymore you can tell me?

alot like a gaz in tread pattern but has double bead and softer compound.
It does fit a '03 Z1 FR but just barely, mines on a pimp
there is currently not a U.S. distributor for Duro/.243 tire.

Im pretty sure you can order it right off the nsmb mainpage or something... in the products section:thepimp:

I ordered them direct when I working at a shop, now I no longer work at a shop and Eric no longer deal direct to the u.s.
btw, I really like my .243 tires and if you can get some I'd recommend them.
if nsmb doesn't have them I'd check .243 dealers in N. Van. if you want them that bad.
i have them and they rule. best tire i've ever had. i used to run gazzi jr's. i like the 243's better cuz the bead locks to the rim nicely, but almost the same tread pattern. they wear excellent and i use them for all conditions.

The tires will be available to the states, via our distributor in October of this year.

the tire is great.i have nothing but good stuff to say for it.
the double bead is a sweet feature,and mine installed VERY easily.some people seem to have had trouble installing they'res,but mine went on like a charm

What are these tires like for wet shore stuff? Sliding off logs is getting old.
Thats its main strong piont.
If you run the tire at about 20psi the tire will comform to the OD of the log (as small as 2").

A great tire, cheap as well.
The locking bead is great, but on one of my doubletracks it was a pain getting it on correctly. Its a pretty cool tire, rolls fast yet has good grip as the whole tire isn't touching the groud when you going in a straight line. I commuted with these tires for a while, I pumped em up a bit more before left each day, made a pretty good urban tire.
for $60 there is no better tire. The Michelin tires are also very good, but also very expensive.

Are they big 2.6s like the gazza jr. where it is a little over spec or are they a small 2.6. I am looking to put them on my big hit dh and I want some wide tires that are cheap and work in wet conditions.
teh .243 is a small 2.6....
its also a rather square profile much like a GAzzy
hope that helps...

ive had my set for a good 6 months now. best tires ive owned. VERY predictible, both break loose at the same time when over cornering, and the slide is very controllable. great in the wet, hell, great all round. only had one flat with mine before, but it was my fault. i run the tires at rather low psi too, so they grip like a mother, yet still roll fast

every shop ive seen that has em has them for 65. usually not any cheaper cause they are rather cheap already... i got mine for 55 each though, but thats not the regular shop price
Technically they are a wide 2.6 due to the high side lugs.
Here is a breake down of sid lug hights.
Gazz = 11.0mm
.243 = 10.0mm
High roller = 9.0mm
For the shore I'd pick the Duro, but if your racing a clock for money on a dh course I'd take the Michelin.
