Its awsome, i love singlespeed now. Its set up as 36/18 right now but i gotta change it to something smaller i nthe rear .. probbly a 16, i only droped my chain a couple times, once from smashing a log, and once from my suoer human legs putting to much tourqe on it and stuff.

I love it though, its so simple and quiet and AWSOME!

You could use some rings on the outside of the ring. Like a double bash setup.

looks really good, that tensioner looks prime too! i think i ran 38 13 on my toy, it worked good for dirt jumpin, but it was kinda sketchy when i wanted to pedal really fast to approach somethin

I think the whole hack thing was created by the manufacturers as an excuse for breaking stuff. Its a phenomenon, like 90% of people I know are hacks!

nope, jsut get 2 old shimano cassetes (sram works too cuase they're spacer are yellow  )
then take the apart and use the spacers and put them on your hub and put the ring on hte rub inbetween the spacers, then put the lock ring on and tighten er' up

looks nice..my only qualm would be....
go real ss;)
get rid of the ghetto tensioner and you will NEVER drop the chain....the tensioner is pretty much as weak and suceptible to breaking as a derailer is.

it's easy to set up proper ss on a vert dropout bike.
i did it with perfect tension on a few bikes...friends 243 with vert drops,my norco 125 with vert drops, and my kona roast with vert drops...
it just takes a little patience, but damn is it ever worth it.
