oo and for additional stuff. my email to airbomb asking about warranty on the frame.

"In last days of november 2001, i bought a azonic ds1 frame and a 2001 marzocchi z3 qr20 in a package deal, yesterday my azonic frame cracked behind the down tube gusset. and i was wondering if there is warranty on this product?

thanks for your time
chris"

and the reply....

"There might be a warranty through the manufacturer, but we dont warranty them. You should contact the manufacturer"

ummm that doesn't help me at all (azonic told me to talk to the place where i bought it from) and no return email for a few days now

thats the prob with airbomb man... call azonic.. if they dont wanna talk to you then screw them dont buy anything from them if the own company dosent wanna hear from its riders then screw em... they should be able to send a frame to airbomb very simple and fast

yeah i foned bikeroom and was told to send the frane to van then they look at it and if they decide it needs warranty they send it to california then it goes back to van city then back to me and i have to pay for shipping to van and back ehre and thats alot just to get shut down on warranty or get another pop can frame that i'd jsut sell as soon as i get it.

now for my next frame choices....le toy or balfa or 243 i can get a 243 for 400 when the next batch comes out or buy a used le toy for 500 or a balfa for the same price

same thing happened to me on my 2002 ds-1. you're right, it's a pop can.

but... it'll be warrantied by azonic. it seems to be a somewhat common thing in that area of the frame. my whole headtube blew off, shearing at the top and downtubes.

trust dave, send it to bikeroom.

But what about the big dent in the frame??? I know it's a foot and a half away from the crack, but you gotta give azonic a little credit here. I see their point.

they don't even know about the dent:shhh: but theres no way it could've effected it up there. and you know how i ride a frame shouldn't break with me riding it:o
