this fork isn't a step up in raw performance, it's a really inespensive fork for recreational freeride bikes.

Isn't this one assembled in Taiwan?
Sounds like a decent fork to me...

the one i described is made in taiwan and my info says only 9mm std q/r dropouts.
there might be one from italy with 20mm but i don't know about it. marzocchi is wierd with us.

the oem catologue says that they're 35mm aluminum. it doesn't state the alloy or finish.
they will be available in late oct or early january depending on how it goes.

sounds like an idea hardtail fork if it had 20mm
but the 888 is marzs most hyped arrival in a long while... i hope it lives up
Sounds more like a out of bounds /light freeride fork to me.

The are 35mm. The stanchions are also farther apart than the Super T.

03 was a huge improvement. No more snapping stanchions on daily basis with the SC forks. DC Forks got stiffer and stronger. No more snapped arches.
Now with 04, they're fixing the tire clearance on the arches, they're fixing the cracked SC issue by using steel, they've made the DC crowns full bolt again, and they're filling the gap in their lineup with the 888.
