Are there any tricks, tips, secrets to doing no handers?

Right now I can either let go of my bars like 2 inches or clamp and just ungrip my bars

I can't seem to clamp my seat and let go good. Am I doing anything wrong or is there any secret to doing these?

hahahaha...........nothings before no handers ... for those who can pinch do you lean back to pinch or do you kinda push your bike so the seat settles in between your legs.......I try to lean back to clamp but for some reason I just push down and instead of leaning to clamp the seat just ends up in between my legs cause I push teh bike down

Kyle Zaskito, Inshane, Bouch, and I all learned no handers first.

Pinch the seat, it's stylish and feels much more rewarding......uh right Bouch?

Any tips on HOW to pinch the seat though Evan? I never seem to find it in the air. Do I hafta feel a good pinch before I let go? Or if I let go, will it fall into the right spot?

I think I'm too paranoid. Next time I'm out, I'll armour up and just throw it.

Keefer, try to slide the seat as far forward (as close to your knees while standing up on the bike) as possible, i've noticed that my seat needs to be set higher than feels normal while i'm pinching it on land, because in the air i drift up a little bit on my bike. good luck, they're funnn.

im workin on mine also, and i have the same prob as keefer... i can never find my saddle in the air. i've been doing little no handers with out pinching, but they dont feel right. i'm gonna go flip my seatpost, and move my seat totally forward.

Nice advice... have you ever thought of starting up a bike instruction clinic?

Keefer:
Raise the seat a bit it helps to learn them, the higher it is the less your legs have to move to pinch it.
I think I take my hands off first and as they're coming off my legs automatically pinch.
Back in the day I used to do them without pinching but you have to do them so quick you get 0 style points, plus it's just sketchy.

A lot of BMXers tend to tilt their seats up at a fairly steep angle too. Apparently this helps by giving you more seat to pinch. Might be worth a try.

Hmm, good advice from all of you. I'm gonna try them on monday (Not tomorrow, it's Trail day!)
