How come, everything gets released to the public before its the actual year of the model. For example all the 2004 cars are out, but, its only mid way through 2003. The 2004 bike parts are coming out, but, its still a ways away from 2004...pretty soon their gona get so far ahead of themselves they'll be releasing 2012 cars in 2009. How come they dont release their products in the year they're named after? The 2004 line of products should be released in 2004, not 2003. If they wana release a product mid way through the year, they should call it the 2003.5, sorta like santacruz or snipes has done.

Because you're getting futuristic products NOW! :|

Welcome to the world of $.99 being much cheaper than $1.00 marketing.

People get excited cuz they want the latest and greatest the earliest.... people wouldnt want to buy a 2003 product at the end of 2003 when you could wait a tiny bit longer... spend more money, and get a 2004 product.

its called anticipation...

no one wants a 04 car in 04... its just not as exciting as getting something before its supposed to be out....

its all marketing....and we all be sukers...:D

yah its all marketing, magazines piss me off too. why did i already get my august issue of mba halfway through june?

Bastards, ohh and it had info on the sea otter in it that took place in april, in a august issue, i know it is aliitle more reasonable but it is also ironic.

because it takes them a while to write up stories and such and some times like in flow if you do photo sequences they take a lonnng time theyre magazines not news papers

The bike industry has excessively long lead times too. Pay attention to when you start seeing it and when you can actually get it...there's usually a fair bit of a gap. Production is Asia, freight issues, oem spec'ing, etc all impact it. They gotta start talking now to build up the hype so when it delivers in 4 mos you want it bad! (Bike stuff that is)
Also, does anyone have a 2012 IBM computer for sale? I'd take a 2007 in a pinch... :D
