View Full Version : Olympic bike spin
Podborski was on the am radio this am talking about long term impacts of the games. He mentioned that the XC ski Venue in the callaghan valley will have bike trails in the summer. Im guessing much like the xc trails up in Kananaskis.

That would be stellar! I learned to ride at the Nordic Centre in Canmore. That's where the 88 Calgary Olympics held the xc skiing events.

I've ridden the World Cup and Canada Cup xc courses in Canmore. The WC course was supposed to the most difficult and technical out of all the WC xc courses. I thought they were alright, but this was when I was first learning how to ride. The downhill sections in both courses were no more difficult than the steeps on Pangor. Crazy! Riding here for the first time blew me away (as it does everyone). I hope some "north shore" attitude goes into building the new courses!
