Very cool. Stunt construction looks solid.

I e-mailed the author about the photos in the article, because it looks like the ladder/teeter supports are nailed into live trees, whereas the article claims otherwise.

He says he spoke with the trail builder and they made some special supports so they didn't nail into any live trees. Not sure how it works but he might be sending me some drawings next week.

yea i was just inspecting those pix, and i can't see how this isn't somehow nailed or screwed into the live trees:

he was refering to when the trail was first started there was no live tree damage but then it says..

good point. but buddy above there says that he got email with info from the builders that they have some alternative setup there or something.

i used to live near that like 9 years ago.

then i moved here... and those guys staring at the rider doing that drop around 10 feet or so.... TRULEY RUSSIAN:rolleyes:

I thought it was helpful that DA linked to the photo so it was obvious what we were talking about.:)

Anyways, I was told unequivocally by the author that absolutely no live trees were nailed into. Maybe he it's just a misunderstanding and he was talking to the builder of a different trail. Or maybe the Russians have invented cold fusion.

Hopefully the author will get back to me soon. Then the mystery will be solved.:D
