what do you think is easier to do tricks on? such as super mans, heelclickers, no-footed cancans ect. it seems the tendency is to try more stuff on a dually (nut protection factor), however, i know lotsa guys who think those types of tricks are easier on a hard tail. what do you think?:dizzy:

I think some people find it easier on a hardtail because a hardtail
tends to be more predictable going off a lip depending how steep it is. If your riding a duallie it would be easier on less steep of a lip,I'm assuming, because of the forgivness factor. I think it depends on what your used to.

both for different reasons. on a tight set ht, they move and can be moved faster. on bigger jumps w/o spinning or whatnot i'd say duallie, since they are more stable in there air

jumping in general is much more stable on a dually, how ever, the bike isnt as manuverable as a ht so HTs would be better for no footed cans for sure. duallys are super unpredictable for no foot cans also cuase the top tube is so high. get on a ht work u r way up

i find it easier to do "off the bike" tricks on a dually, just cuz they're more stable, but stuff that involves movin my bike around in the air, i bust out the hardtail. i find hardtails to be much more sketchy doing stuff off the bike. i think its cuz they're lighter and move around more under you.

Thats a hack statement if I ever heard one. Bmx'ers did all those tricks first, they have no suspension

no kidding danny...

start on a HT then move to FS ...

you'll find it a easier transition that way between bikes

YA exactly.. I love my ride right now...perfect with the Vanilla RC I sold which makes it more predictable and only use the travel when you need it (like messing up no footers, it hurts).

But yea..don't be a hack for sure...HT is a good place to start..especially if yer low on money...I definately wish I had one or even a 4by with an RC to play around on.

Chris i'm preaty sure that RC don't make that much of a diifference, I thought they had a bit more oil in the resivoir so that it would take longer to heat up the oil so better ride for longer. (or do they???). I'm on a hardtail right now and it is sweet whenever i go djing it is amazingly fun. But i would really like a nice dullie with 5-6inches just cause i'm doing more stuff like drops (not too big), stair gaps, big gaps, fast flowy stuff, and like speedy whistler. I was ridin my buddies brodie devo with it's almost 8 inches of rear wheel travel and wow!!! soooooooooo much more stable than my P.3. but i also found it harder to get air off of stuff.

IMO i like duel when you do tricks and lose your footing u have a nice cushy seat to come to other then HT where u have a rock hard deat to crush your nuts on so i say DS

i have a hardtail and i like it way better than any dualie. when i ride other peoples dualies they feel like crap, ijust feel sketchy, they rear end jumps off the lip instaed of flowing off, and i cant pump properly. also, i lie having a hardtail becuase i can tell exactly where i land, (i will be able to tell if i case)! i rode a rotec dh on some really tight dirt jumps, cased them, didnt even know! the kids whose bike it was was like "damn u cased" , and i was like "huh" ?? not very respnsive. as for tricks, i think ofr most a ht is easier. some are probably easier on dualies, but i havnt tried all on dualies. i like having a bmx bb/cranks too, because i can set it up tight so my cranks dont spin if i want, tho i usually keep em a wee bit loose. also i just think dualies suck.

You can usually feel yourself case..or at least hear it...especially on smaller travel bikes 4-6"

Cavan...I though DJing wasn't your thing?
Oh and the RC feels fine...jus step up the compression to fairly hard and rebound to moderately slow...works fine. (also preload kinda hard).

But I just got a new rear shock..so I'll have to test her out. I think the oil would heat up abit off the small warmup jumps.

Meh I DJ but i rather go ride some trails and leave that stuff to the bmx guys (no offence ment) I do know how to dj and I do go fairly often to just get out when I can't get to one of the mountains. I also know the RC's are good shocks but I was wondering what the difference the piggy back resivoir does.
