Jing-jing*? Murder came to mind but I abandoned it simply for the reason I like to ride too much. Just something about the paley faced piano-handed skinny dweeks who've never had a scuff or a scrape on them in their life sitting there and fidgeting with all the bits and pieces of futuristic electronics. Next time in meeting hell I'm gonna take a 5lb sledge and start breaking both hands and devices.

You gotta be me to understand the paradox I s'pose.

That's Thai slang for 'Really?' BTW.

Oh oh oh, you just hit a nerve before administering the left handedness Rat... THat's right up there with guys tossing garbage out the window at me when I'm road riding up in the old digs. Oh my my, I'm going to have to borrow one of Putty's blue ones for this one.

There's indeed a few knobs on those Segway things around here. There's a few motorized kiddy scooters boosting it around too. The guy with the full face and the scooter is gonna get taken down hard in a tangle of wreckage pretty soon.

How the hell did I get myself into this? Why didn't I just stay in diamond mining or for that matter slamming trees? I sense a meltdown coming... Couldn't we just use a couple of them goofy things to draw and quarter Kaman?

Ned man, you're reaching critical mass...and I know where you are coming from. I often ask myself what my sanity is worth, and apperently its not very much.

Sorry for the dig Ned, I didnt realize that you were on the cusp of going postal.

Putty nice work by the way, I rode pangor for the first time in many months. the berms are sweet and I like the log rides. Sure makes for a fast run.

Oh and if you want to try a bizzare Czech drink, grab a bottle of Bekaroffka, its like Jaegermiester x5. I had a bad night on Czech Absinth in Prauge, not that I can remember much of it.

Thanks doc. I sensed something was going awry last week.

I just altered my out of office sked to envelop the full week instead of just a few days. Hmmm, road ride from Seattle to Van, a couple quiet but full size Shore rips and then seal it off with a biggie ho' that'll jack my bitch and moan credit way high. Nice fridge full of riding for the bicycle bulemic for sure...

Riding story time, bout time Ned's thinkin.

I get my wife to finally take a day off from work. Unlike myself, she has a good paying job and she is much needed at her work. She takes maybe 4 or 5 days off a year. Thats it. Though this year, there have been a few more as the riding bug is creeping in - but thats another story.

A day off and an itch to ride - I always allow her to decide where she wants to go - and she chose Whistler. Nice. That worked out good, because I had planned to help a buddy of mine film up there already - unbeknowst to her. So the filming took up little time (it was for the Zero's - ten speeds and tight jeans ripping up the Biker X) and was a funny way to start the day.

The descent started just before noon. And it was not a good day for me to be needing brake pads. When it came time for her to point down, it was like something in her froze. We managed to SLOWLY make it down a few green runs, and also a few blue runs - but there were a ton of Kona reps up there this day.

These were Kona dealers from all over (talked to one guy from Alaska) and they were not at all trail etiquette. They would take off in groups of ten or more, and they didn't seem to want to go down any black runs (maybe some in their horde couldn't do them - dunno) so instead, they were tearing down Green runs and Blue runs, and yelling at my wife, or skidding and spraying her as she was trying to get down a run and DEVELOP her skills. All and all, I was very displeased with their behavior. We even had to ask several times if we could pass by the start of lower B LINE (could you believe it?) because one horde was taking photos of all their friends riding this small log and rock that leads into it! Not cool. Should I email Kona?

Regardless, it seemed that she could never build up her confidence on any many runs, as she was always getting asked to move over, so it was frustrating for her, and well, put my patience to the test. Then (and I dunno how) she started to blow tubes. The first tube - my pump would not work on Schrader - so we started to walk down from the practice drops (she was getting upset) until I asked a couple of guys with Fanatyko jerseys to help out, which they kindly did (thanx guys). So we started our three hour tour again. Good. things were getting flowing. Back up to do Fantastic again. figuring this was going to be almost my last run, I kinds wanted to pick it up a wee bit. And she did. But, not wanting to hit her front brake at all, she was skidding quite a bit (tisk tisk) and well, I don't carry expensive tubes as spares. Psssssssst. Strike three. And she was out.

Realizing I wanted to go and play with the boys, she let me get a few runs in with my buds. I managed to do so, but not really being warmed up (from braking, waiting) Schleyer wasn't the best warm up, but it got the juices flowing. My bud got her a free pass for the day, so the firts Jug was on us, and we did end the day with smiles and good memories.

She asked me that for her birthday, she wants me to get the whole mountain for just us, so that rude riders wouldn't be heckling her outta the way. I asked "Why?" you only need one run. I gotta punch, and a kiss, and I know she will be back, pushing her limits, trying something else. Oh....remember when we were all learning? When everything was NEW? There were NO complaints - just anticipation for the next ride. And the next.

Just to set the record straight I didn't freeze... a woman's gotta check her makeup every once in a while (you gotta look good lying in the dirt) and necessary adjustments to my thong were required....

plus... after the flat tire episode.... I wasn't getting upset... just midly frustrated since he couldn't get it up ..... the tire that is....

Thanks, Pangor is fun in the dry. PD and dwicks have been doing some sweetness on the bottom. I think there is only one or two mud pits to deal with before the winter...and then it will be rideable year round. Bekaroffka hey? I like Jaegermeister esp with hoot.

Fortnately I shacked up in the semi-rural end of town away from the rockstar grunge you speak of several miles east of Edd's crock of trails which I tend to avoid like the plague. In reality I deal with the 70yr old dairy turned ice cream store staffed by the sweetest of the sweetest so life's good in that respect...

But when I ride down valley to work and see the pearly Gates up on the hill I shudder in disgust sometimes... Baffling.

I'm only 20, so no big family obligations yet, but i work 4 on and 4 off graveyard shifts, i also umpire baseball, do landscaping when i have time, and do lots of trail work, riding. I am also in training to run my second marathon in october. I play soccer for my college team. For anything local, i ride, that means anything for work or play i ride. To get beer, candy, cookies, tp, whatever i need from town i ride my HT mtb that i ride everywhere else. I have never shuttled, i always ride up the hill to the top, before riding down. Whenever i go out on the trails to build i always carry any wood i'm brining in on my back, along with my axe, hand saw, hammer and nails. and in september i'll be returning to university for fulltime studies in the rec and sport management program at malaspina in nanaimo, so that'll take away from my riding time even more

Ride more Bitch Less has really gotten me thinking about my time management . It has motivated my to cancell my internet access at work, I figure if I can do less screwing around I can justify turning the wheels more often.

It's odd I quit my old job and went off on my own three years ago but I often find myself putting in the 7am - 5:00 PM shift. Ned

FreeChess? Kinda like an infinite gallery of doors... the rulebook that is.

So you tell me. I rode three times yesterday BTW.

First ride was the mudflap chewer, second was the road rip after a quick pint and the last ride, blitzed out of my head to take my hounds for a late night run.

I woke up late with a hangover (ouch) so I drove. Within 5 minutes of being in the car I have some chump with the huge greasy sausage dink fingers clutching at his steering wheel and yelling at me quite rudely to let him weasel his car into the hellish line up instead of waiting his turn like the rest of us trapped in the steel cage.

His quintuple chin, looking kinda like a pack of soggy hot dogs, was flapping away in echo of his mouth movements. So I, for some stupid reason, rolled down my window and told him in no uncertain manner that probably the best thing that he and his king size ass could do is F--- the H--- Off and wait his turn before I jammed his overused teeth up his trap door which would require the Roto-Rooter man to retrieve. Why did he then roll up his windows and locks his doors? ;)

I don't think I'm cut out for driving on the roads around here. Driving sux bad. Ride more... even if it's a road bike.

Driving around here ranks up there with both LA and Bangkok. People are sooo pushy and are always in such a rush to get their stumpy, junk food filled carcasses somewhere. Hmmm, go to bed earlier instead of watching TV so you wake up ealier and in turn, leave earlier. Simple recipe for better living if you have to wade into the commuter pool with everyone to get somewhere on time.

Regardless, even though I have a fairly meatstick vehicle I feel much safer riding. Printer's done and coffee's on.

Road bikes are cool. Every so often, on a cool crisp morning, I like to dust off the old rocket, pump the tyres up to 120 psi, click in and wheel her out the driveway.

I scare myself shitless in a full tuck from the top of Mtn. Hwy to the bottom. From there, across 2nd narrows and into town, stompin' the big ring all the way.

20 minutes and I'm at at office, dripping wet and the thighs pulsing with blood.

It feels good!

... and standing on the pedals grunting all the way up Mtn. with road bike gearing to get home is a treat!

 Just as I was going to sleep last night, the vision of you, still on the ground looking down at me and those three ladies watching (which was, and still is, a pathetic excuse to bail) with an all black mug with these beedy blue eyes and a grin made me laugh! Leaving me with a few moments to try and shake that memory to get some zeds... In fact, been snickering since that ride.

Well, I went on a nice little tear last night, up here in the Bluffs. Gonna be doing a little race here on Sunday, so I've been doing some dry runs. The course is of course some of the sweetest stuff Squish offers - consists of sickly rock faces that must be descended either verticvally or horizontally, jumped off (in between trees), then some more tight switchbacks, to some more larger rocks, and then an open road that will land you onto a hip that is over ten feet apart and at a nasty nasty angle. All in all, a lotta fun.

No bitchy bitchy, all fun. Guess I could bitch that my cracked rib doesn't sem to get better - but that requires docile movements for three weeks- and its summer, in B.C.

Postal? I did indeed go a little postal on a couple people the other day... the same day. Stopped in for a coupla beers on the way home on the road bike. Walked into the bar and out to the patio to where the work crew was sitting in celebration mode post project release... whoopie .

One dumbass in the bar said "nice shorts"... I sais "Nice teeth. Hard to chew with 'em stuffed up your ass. Wanna talk some more outside? You can have first punch." Instant silence in the bar.

Get onto the patio. Two of my own start in on the same tune with all the high level management around and 20 or so co-workers and a buncha bystanders. Funny how someone with perceived power thinks they can try and dick with you on your own time out of the workplace. A bunch of people were running for cover after they saw the first instance... Funny how the smack talkers quickly zipped their gums when faced with the identical business proposal I offered the guy inside. It's quite obvious neither of 'em have ever drank in a bar concurrently full of seismic drillers, oil rig pigs, loggers and mill rats all looking to get f--ked or in a fight... where there's no windows to get thrown through... just brick walls to bounce off.

Gawd I love software...

Yeah, that was me. Kev was the guy who owned the camera, and Graham, the other guy pulled a nice tweak off the ladder to gap after you left, forgot to straighten things up and did a nice splatter. He was OK, but his bike was complaining bitterly.

I'll email the vid.

Yes, I did the whole MS thing a while back. There was plenty of pushing of technically inept people, who had a talented for sniffing in the right places, into management. Thing is, it's no better at most other places I've worked at.

Like I told my boss the last time he had an issue with me, "if you don't like the way I work, then you can quit".

I went and watched the first Rock Star race.. had done TOM the day before so went to check it out.. pretty disorganized that year, big hike from some parking lot to even find it. We positioned ourselves at the best carnage location. The guys would come ripping down full of piss and vinegar all pumped with testo and man did some of them eat it big time.

Then (Core Rat) Angie came down, smooth as silk, calmly just floated down the whole section... pretty to watch.

There was also a teenager, big kid ( some would say overweight) to look at him you'd never think he could ride.. a couple locals watching told me he was 14 - he flowed it real smooth too.. he impressed.

Good luck..

Vedder is awesome but tricky when its wet. THe turns after the landings get slick so I'd cartwheel into bushes after the jumps as I couldn't make the turns. There's a really good pinkbike article about Vedder. I got a tour from the local builder. Nice stuff ...

I rattled off a pretty good quality pavement ride in the morning yesterday and saw enough dead festering carcasses to start a little deli in some other part of the world where the 30 second rule is heavily exercised. Skunk, 'coon, hassenfeffer, squirrel, possum, bird, cat but no dog... I lost count after the first 100 items but it was easily up around 200 in the short time I was out.

I ask myself when the phark are the roads maintenance guys gonna grab the shovel and garbage bags and clean up all the stinkin' dead shit?

My question was answered as I ambled up the bike lane this morning and saw two roads guys sporting the shovel and the bag... Summer's here.

so, your bike landed on you?

Remember the good old days (fully rigid or 2" travel hart tail), when endoing was just a given every time you went out. The patented move was leap frogging the bars, hit the ground in a rolling motion, and arms up to catch the bike before it clobbered you.

With all the big travel and rake these days endos are rare, and the "bike catch" is a lost art.... not that catching a 50lb pig would be much fun!

Gate at bottom is open. Top of Knob Gobbler stunts are gone ; ditto Sideshow. Imo the structures looked fundamentally sound and some of them were bridging creeks so Im not sure as to the reason other than for liability.

Trails were greasy so we just did KG - > Sideshow -> Noah Fear passed on Logarhythms. Maybe should've tried Time Killer instead.

To be honest, I'm not sure about the high line. There is definately no snow on the low line, and there is a planned ride coming up leaving from Pemby to Squish, so I'm thinkin the low line is good to go through Cheakamus. Go here: www.great-explorations.com/Pages/sts.html

Sounds like a keeper. Wait until you take her on some bigger rides and her beast from within shall rear its head. Some call it mental and physical callousing.

I took my wife on a few rides that make just about any guy cry and after about the 8th hour the halo of hissing snakes emerged (took that long?). Funny thing is, she still taks about those rides in the sense that she will come back to that level of riding once our boys are a little more independent... it scares me in fact. Don't mess with a gal who's hatched a couple kids... they WILL rip you a new one if you don't watch it.

High Line? As in the Cheak route? The snow is clear all the way to the Babylon turnoff - which is the high point - there is still some snow up on Babylon itself. Only in the trees though. The Northwest passage is clear but very wet in some spots.

Excellant, another convert... get her to join NSMBA. We need every possible name on the list... critical mass is needed to oppose bureaucratic dolts...

A showdown is brewing.

I couldn't beleive the 'sausage fingered' (to quote Ned) porky self righteous pricks who've never even seen the trails and all the good work that mountain bikers have been doing, get up on the TV last night and squeal about the environmental degredation being done by mountain bikers, and appealing to Council to shut them down.

What a load of bollocks. If they only knew. And the big fat 'ole Councellor Nixon asking Diplock, "have you boys done any environonmental impact studies"... what a dork.

I ride to work every day and look at the diesal running out of the back of buses into the storm water drains (with nice little fishies painted on them) and straight into the creeks and rivers, and that overbloated ass is asking DD if mountain bikers have done any....

The environmental impact of MTB is negligible (and we fix what effect we may have).... and way less impact than the pesticides those pricks are spraying on their panzies right now.

As, I say, a showdown is coming. The NSMBA boys are doing us proud but it's time for every member to step it up a notch and be heard, in the nicest and most politically correct way, of course.

Well, I dug out the old Wolber rims sporting some eager looking Tioga City Slickers, pumped those babies up to 85 psi, and decided to go for a little rip. Seeing as how I am off downhilling for a bit (I'm still laughing off the pain) I thought I'd put some km's onto the old hardtail. My goal was Brittania, but I didnt quite make it that far.
It was a beautiful day for a road ride. Not hot, a chinook, and beautiful scenery of Squamish. I made it to the Chief, decided to watch some climbers. Then I scooted up the road into the Chief parking lot. Well it wasnt long before I found myself portaging my hardtail up the Chief. I hiked up for about 40 minutes, but my ribs weren't liking the idea of carrying anything, anymore. I turned around, and decided to take the trail over to Shannon Falls. And wouldn't you know it? There were gnarly rocks, stairs, switchbacks and generally all the stuff we like to ride on. But bigger, tighter, and set into a mountain that doesn't see any bikes (least I was the only one there, and no tire erosion was visible).
But talk about fun - tring to stay on my ride (if I bail again right now, I'm sure my body will seperate into many pieces and run away) with my seatpost brushing my teeth, clipped in, 1.5" tires with NO tread AND pumped up harder than the top of God's head. Not to mention that those old Wolber rims are signifigantly narrower than my other trail rims, and I am just too lazy to adjust my V Brakes accordingly- so my braking power was slim to none. It was a blast. I talked to some tourists - took some pictures of some groups for them, and admired the beauty of a waterfall - especially one the size of Shannon Falls.
I then trucked on down the road to the beach - why not? wasn't much beach, so south I went and ended up at Murrin (that little lake on the Highway, just outside of Brittania). I tooled around in the trails there, played with some dogs, and then, smiling immensely, I came back in a northern direction. I was trying to go slow, sucking it all back in again, but damn those tires roll ya fast!
It's no "I wanna go to Whistler for lunch" ride, but I'm not too used to just pumpin several km's. I think I shall change that, though. Thanks for the inspiration - Ned and Leelau.

No bitching from me, I'm on the bike nearly every day and I have a weekend to myself (!!!) to see how deep I can get into some remote Chelan terrain down here... or go in a road race with my hairy legs and all :D. Time to start eating!

Very nice change - and I'm in serious need of that Hummer now. The geometry of my old Brodie just isn't doin it for me anymore. Too bad, she was my first ride.

Stop eating the Rogaine.

Edit - and thanks, for the insight and inspiration of hitting the road - it's another aspect of biking I'm certain to enjoy.

Mmm, I'd best cut out the double upside down non-fat bumsweat soy latte with a Rogaine twist. Even the pits of my fingers are a dust trap.

Buuuttt... my brother of the oversized Peeler and caved in shoulders is the equiv of full body velcro. He just kinda sticks the pads to himself and goes. At a few years younger I'm right there too... to shave is simply futile. Grizz bear on bike ;)

Needed to drop a line on the ol thread.

So, annoyed with the constant irritation since my last unsolicited dismount, I finally dragge dmy but into the ol doctor to get me scoped out. Did the blood test thing (checkin my hemogloban) and also some X rays, and other muscle movement tests. The crack was there, all right. Just a wee laddy she was. The doc says that isn't the pain problem. Apparently, I have probably torn/bruised some muscles (I asked him twice what they were so I wouldn't forget - I forgot) that are between my lungs and rib cage, so that is why when I cough, sneeze, roll over - or move them in any way I find myself wincing.

GOOD NEWS- doc says continue to ride. Road ride he suggests. Go figure. MORE good news - the hospital here, in Squamish asks mountain bike crashers (I'm "in" now!) to fill out a form, they have been condusting studies of mountain bike crashes based on abilities, terrain, kind of bike, sex, armoured or not...etc etc. So far, as the good doc said, they have found that women endo more. Men splat harder. I coulda told him that.

It was a slow day at the hospital, so the doctor asks me if I could help him (I seen this on a porn flick - and the nurse wasn't getting my big ring rollin, if ya know what I mean), so I cocked me ol eyebrow, wonderin what was up, and low and behold, the good doctor was looking for a bike. He wants to ride the trails in North Van, where he lives. So we had quite a lenghtly discussion on kinds of bikes, riding, geometry, where to shop...etc. etc. Doctor took out a pad, and was writing notes! I couldn't bring myself to ask him to write me out some kinda "Get outta anything" excuse letter, his eyes were lit up and I could see that look - that look of anticipation from just TALKING about riding.

So maybe next time you are out for a scoot, and you happen to see a somewhat inexperienced rider on a new hardtail (he seemed to be leaning that way - I sent him towards a Hummer by the way), be assured that the good doctor, is in the house!

That's a good doctor. The last time in was in with dislocated fingers the doc told me the same thing, right in front of my wife (who was hoping he might slow me down). I could of kissed him.

Same in Lions Gate. The last couple times I've been in they filled out the form if it's a MTB accident. They're very persistent about getting the name of the trail and exactly where it is. I don't trust the bastards. I tell them Stanley Park.

I'll look out for a man in a white coat wobbling up the road on a hummer.

Actually, quite a few of the doctors who've treated me over the years do MTB, so they're cool, usually more XC type guys, and they love asking questions about what type of bike I ride and where, and do you do all that extreme stuff. The eyes always light up when they're 'on subject'. I guess it beats dealing with some old dudes digestive tract problem.

Dude, pulled muscles in the rib area are one of the most painful injuries you can get (experience) and unfortunately take a long time to mend. I feel for ya' - to be slowed down like that in prime riding season sucks the big one. Hope you back rippin' real soon.

I must add to this lonely thread once again.
I love this province. There is nowhere else I wish to be (but more bikini clad women would be nice, but that's another thread).

Over the last few days, as I am 'taking it easy', I have had two of my best rides in months. I figured I should rehab myself - quickly.

I had to go to the city for the weekend, and I convinced my wife to slide by the shop that my old riding buddy is now working at. I haven't seen him in awhile, and I see him much less since I moved to Squish. It was great to see hiom and I had invited him and his wife to come up and ride. On Monday. He was intrigued, but mentioned his wife had to work. Well, she owns her own store, and I strolled on down to her shop, and basically told her employee that she was now working on Monday, and the boss was gonna be having fun. It worked. The ride was on.
Monday comes, and Wanker and his wife (his real name is Chris - but I know so many that they all have nicknames, and Wanker is this one's) show up late, but enthused. We left right from my house, and headed up towards Alice Lake. I'm not going to detail the entire ride, but everything was in just perfect balance.
The two girls were the exact level of riders, and Wanker and myself were just happy to be chewing dirt together again. It was sunny, then it lightly rained, then it poured, and then the sun popped out again. That was a cycle that continued to rotate. Some of the trails were so overgrown that just riding past the brush left you absolutley soaked, so much that when you stopped, there were pools of water coming out of your gloves and off your jersey. We rode for 5.5 hours. It was perfect. Course, we hit a few trails that were loaded with log rides, teeties and ramps, but hey - the girls nbeed a little of that in their portfolios as well. The day ended with warm showers, bike talk, and a few cold ones to share the fun times. I'm smiling as I'm typing right now.

And then today, as I continued my rehab, I went to Whistler with counterpoint and his wife. You know, I had to break in my new rims. I leant J's wife my hardtail (I was proud to see it on Whis) and she loved it. She rode awesome. Being a true sport, she let me and J take off and play. Well, there wern't many people there, and the rain had settled down all the dust that has been there as of late. I was pulling off my first GOOD one handers, and my first GOOD one footers, and I rode, for the first time, with only one finger on my brake (10 years of rim brakes built a common desire to use two fingers on the levers). I was nailing everything. Even the new drop on Clown Shoes got shown some Zed style. I think the new rims are broken in just fine, thank you. The funny thing is, I only feel a small aching when I stop riding - so I just have to keep riding, eh?

Go figure.

I rode the flank trail up in Whistler on Canada Day with friends on their stag. Justin is one of the guys getting married. Al is another. Al was a BC Cup Top 3 xc pro till he broke his back on a hike. He's one of the most inspirational guys I know and if he knew i was posting this he'd be embarrassed. He's not let the fact that he can't use his legs slow him down at all.

The flank trail climbs from Alpine Meadows from 740 m to 1100 m and then descends to Rainbow. Al's on his off-road hand cycle. He's a paraplegic but his arms are just ripped from rolling around in the chair. Justin tows him up most of the climb - he's a strong boy himself - Top 3 BC Cup xc pro also. Then when we get to the downhill Al just gives her. I couldn't believe how fast you can go on an off-road handcycle.

Anyway, it was a great day. I got to do a bunch of fun stuff with my best friends. We're a little scattered now, kids, houses, wives etc and most of them are on the Island and I'm over here. But everytime we do stuff together its all good - and we're in B.C.

Didn't get to ride at all this weekend. Had to go to the GF's company summer BBQ on Saturday so I couldn't get up to Whizzler. Did a few trail building related errands tho, pick up some supplies and what not. At least there was plenty of free booze and meat at the BBQ. Oh, well - I get to ride Sunday. Sunday morning comes and the alarm goes off at 8am. Go back to sleep and wake up at 9am. GF looks like she doesn't want to wake up yet. Go back to sleep wake up at 11am - shit, too late for Whistler. Spent the day doing man stuff - soldering pipes and working on the house - and doing domestic shit like shopping for storage containers. Yay! What a weekend. I think I shall have to break out the road bike and ride up Seymour Mon morning. Tue is time to build.

whoaaa there pardners........i have to reply to something I read on the first page.

Since when did shuttling seymour mean more time on your bike??? Thats why i got out of the whole shuttle thing lately.......becoming more and more busy I cherish my trips to Seymour abit more so........20 ish mins up.....ride down for an hour, and then drive up and retrieve equals more time in the truck than on my bike...........these days I prefer to take a full 2 hours and climb up and come down boogie or pangor.....no truck time or gas, or parking fees, and a full 2 hours on my bike.

There is no such thing as a quick shuttle on Seymour peeps, unless you get dropped off- thats killer.

for those with dogs, they like us, appreciate the time to warm up their muscles before pinning it down...

I will be Huckwagon regular this summer because I love ripping down too, leave the dog at home and blast 5 runs in a row........yeeeehhhhhhhaaaaaa!!!! We better see a Huckwagon sponsored trail day this year.

how long since your last XC ride, your time is going to be off, but fun just the same.

Hmmm, my condolences on the riding thing... I'd like to feed a lot of people I know that same reality pill and see how strong they can be with that baby poo kryptonite stuff stuck under their fingernails...

Diggin' the Coiler more every time I ride it. :)

But you'll have to see the new RM Thin Air - it's even got clips!

Perceptive. We've been shot out of the cannon across the highway to shack up with AutoPC and the PMC fragments of Win Mobile.

Giving Jeremy a run for his money eh? Hmmm... trail? wife? trail? wife? They both make me grouch out in a big way.

Hmm, didn't know you were a chronic bike breaker. Did you star as the gorilla in the old Samsonite suitcase commercials or something?

Same 'hood different mail box? Won't be up there for a couple more months but maybe.. just maybe I can pilfer your fridge for some cerveza's... or just put some south o' the border cerveza's into it.

Ride some and deliver feedback on trail conditions, ranger quotient and the readings on the mountain moron meter.

yeah, i am about 200 meters closer to the old buck parking lot now and our bedroom overlooks trees instead of a playground.

Anytime on the beers...you keep threatening...will have to get Zed involved in that type of event.

I have it pretty easy since im young. I wake up at 7 and either build jumps and stuff or ride. Come back home at 11 for lunch. Go back out at 12 to ride untill 3 when i have to shower and get ready for football. I get home from football at 6 and either ride around or build in my backyard till its dark. once its dark I hang out with girlfriend or friends and start over the next day. the only days i dont get to do this is when i stay over someones' house over night and dont get home during the day or about 2 days a week I work with my father. What a life!!:D :D

Ned - seymour trail conditions are sweet indeed, no dust and traction is high. lots of traffic on the hill too.

Lee - I would be in for a Seymour rip on Sun. inbetween the painting. PM if you want to hook up.

It was a lot smoother coming into than I expected - that first rock/roll into the Bomb was what really psyched me out, but turned out to be mild. The large rockface was actually really smooth - you get moving a fair speed - I even went off the side of the few rocks at the bottom to help smooth it out -and the ground was smooth as well. Twas a nice adrenaline rush!

Well, been house bound with Bear, the crazy climber biking maniac.

Rode Tuesday, easy-ish DH stuff.

Wednesday did a 4 hour XC ride all over Squamish (*Bear on his DH bike)

Thursday - Cypress - Big Eye, Fleshy Wound, Overflow.

My legs are wobbly - but we're now heading out to do the Smoke Bluffs in 30 degree temps.
