I was going to ride Seymour on my own (just for some time away from people) but obviously I can't shuttle then so I was thinking if I drive myself up to the top, do you think it would be hard to hitch a ride back up with some other riders going up? I'm just scared I'll get stranded at the bottom.

my daddy has done it when he went for a ride with us, we rode up for 10 minutes holding our thumbs out and someone gave us a hitch up.
nv people are very friendly, they'll lend u a hand.
PS: showing some skin wont hurt you either.

then you might have trouble. i dont remember anyone stopping to give us a ride last week. there were a few people who could have give us a ride.

leave your car at the bottom, then ask nicely for someone to give u a shuttle up, instead of leaving the car at the top.
hey lance, do u wanna go to seymour with me? can u shuttle?

I have never had problems hitching to the top but if you are really worried about it park at the bottom and hitch up.

i havent been there for very long, but it used to me at that strip. i think it hangs around there all day, unless they went to whistler or something.

If one of you can give me a lift, I'm in.
I can't go until late though :(. Exam until like 3:30.
If I can get a ride, I'll see about moving it some other time though.

During the summer it should be sufficiently busy to hitch a ride. I've been riding up a fair bit at night, and there's a lot of traffic. I often give people rides up if I'm driving up the mountain.
If you're only going as high as Mushroom parking lot, pedaling up isn't too bad. It's a 5K climb from Old Buck parking lot if you take Seymour Road, and takes about 45 minutes to pedal if you take it easy. If you're riding Ned's, you can also pedal up Old Buck, then Baden Powell, then Cabin Trail. That's about 45 minutes of riding/pushing.
