it's three weeks away (july 10-13) and i haven't seen any promo or advertising. is it just me or does that seem a bit odd? is it still happening? anyone know of any locals that have UCI points to qualify?

i don't know about any of you, but when the DH was held in '01 (canceled in '02 due to ground conditions?), i had a great afternoon sitting at the rock drop and cheering for all the locals.

you bike up mtn. hwy, stash your rig near blueberry, hike in and sit there with a beer and watch some rippers, then ride all the way home later that day.

im not sure if u need advertising for that kinda thing..its all on race calenders i think.. and i dont think u can even buy tickets ahead of time. look at sea otter, i dont recal ever seeing ads?

yes i noticed that as well that it dosent seem to be promoted in newspapers or anything like the first worldcup was...

the local news never seems to do coverage until teh last minute....

i'm defintly heading up for teh DH race... in 01 it was such a blast watching the pro's rip past....

im counting down teh days....
