View Full Version : Words to live (and ride) by
I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze
Than it should be stifled by dryrot.
I would rather be a superb meteor,
Every atom of me in magnificent glow,
That a sleepy and permanent planet.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
Who can name the author?

nice words
kind of like..."life's too short - go big :D"
The line that works for me is "The proper function of man is to live, not to exist."
Speaking of which, I gots to get my crap packed up now. My aching muscles are about to encounter "Massage Therapy" and other Eagle Mtn. terrors.

I used to live at the base of Eagle and I know about 1/2 of the guys building trail up there (actually, riding with a coupla them today). Yeah, I know the trails there!
Basically, the higher up you go, the tougher the trails are. We're hitting up the double black plus stuff today, but there are a few good intermediate trails (depending on one's definition of 'intermediate' :D ). Also, some of the best XC in the area is around Eagle/Buntzen.
I can keep ya posted when we're doing a more 'toned down' ride! (heh)
