I just recently bought a bike (Cant afford a mtb). Its a powerlite spitfire, size expert, and after riding it for about 1 hour a day man is my lower back ever sore, Im pretty sure the bike is too small for me, but he'll, all bmx's are too small, anyone having similiar problems? any pre ride streches I should do?

I had that problem with my bmx. turned out to be the seat was doing it. If you have one of those small ass pads with a small strip of foam replace it with something a little better snafu or a 1664 barstool seat checkout www.3ride.com to see what i mean.
If its not the seat then you'll probably get used to it or even thought its not something u would usually do on a bmx raise the seat a bit

How big are you?

I *think* expert sized bikes are pretty small, meant for younger guys...

I can't remember how that sizing works anymore though...

i ride a bmx thats too small for me but it rides so good i couldnt give it up for the longer one but it has tall bars and i put the spacer on top and it rides alot better it feels like a 21 but its a 20 but my back still hurted for awhile even on a longer one its just a different position and you have no suspension youll get over it fast dont worry give it 3-4 rides then come back

lol, I think I know what my problem is, im 5'9. and I dont wanna go through the hassle of trying to find another bmx, I might just have to suffer seeing as I can ride the thing fine.

if the bike doesn't already have one add a xl size stem. or even a xxl stem.

that should help lengthen the bike a little bit.

good luck .josh

god 18 is tiny never mind that feeling might take 9 rides

I just moved the seat back and put a couple spacers underneath the stem, its not as bad now, and I ride it once every couple days, so it'll have to do

I never realised it was such a small frame when I bought it. :s

You get used to it after awhile. Soon, mountain bikes will never be the same and 24" wheels will be too big  :P
