I'm in the same situation. I think I'm just going to take a break, maybe sell my bike and spend lots of money on my girlfriend.

just remember why you bike in the first place. Just go out and have fun. It may be just a nice ride or a hard core rip it up puke from the adrenaline 10footer smack your balls landing nose heavy ride that your looking for.:D

i don;t understand decidedly quitting... i can see just looking back and finding yer self being interested in other things, but to wake up and just stop makes no sense to me. maybe it's my way of being. generally, i don't decide to start anything either. i just find myself doing it.
anyway, why not get a sweet hardtail and put a set of hookworms on it and use it as a commuter/street bike. you'll be riding with a reason, and having fun and not quitting. that's what i am doing now. for instance, on the way to work, i get a good street ride in... that way you are not "riding" during your free time (which i do anyway... but that me. not you).

i have been feeling the same wya, only because i have not ridden in a few monthes, due to a broken bike.
But i still love the sport, and ghope to continue it, thats only if my bike gets better:(
but i still kinda miss it:(
Try a different style of riding, and you'll get hooked again. When you get bored of that style go back to where you started, what you're doing now.
