SPOKE Championship Race

That was fun. Weather cooperated, bike cooperated (except handlebar/stem clamp) and I got 3rd for the race, 4th for the series.

Didn't win any swag :( Scott Crump won a tube... yet he rides tubeless :rolleyes:

How did Nelson and all the other SPOKE racers do?

I like that Buntzen course. Lots of free, close parking (eat your heart out Camp Brick!) good trails and actual washrooms. It's also free for SPOKE to use.

I wasnt doing to bad. Then on the rocky section of the climb i pull a muscle and finish last. It was kinda funny cause i stood for awhile and waited for a sweep cause i thought i couldnt ride anymore. I then got bored, and rode the whole way back. Didnt win anything but one girl from my school got 2nd in the senior girls . it seemed like they gave all the prizes to the younger grades and had few left for us (i guess there are more of the other grades). Also no one showed up for the senior race max 15ish people.
Cant wait for the relay i really liked Bunson the climb was worth the ride down. But i didnt really like the rocky single track with the ditches on both sides it made the course seem really long

When I raced in grade 6, after the downhill we crossed the road and went though some nice doubletrack in there, then swept around the parking lots, back onto the road.
