I used to be able to hop up to 2 1/4 feet but i've recently developped this stupid trials habit so now my rear wheel comes down in mid-hop and i land in manual position...:mad:

I can get on a picnic table with my big hit dh with monsters leading the way!, I figure it's about three feet, or using the nsmb ruler 5-7 ft.

im not sure. i know im over 2 feet consistently now, maxing out probably around 30 inches high on my best tho. im can hop to manual at about 2 feet high now :)

ive been trying to hop manuall but i just cant do it...any tips?

hard to explain...instead of J-hopping like you usually.....lean a little further back and hop and when you land try to push more with your legs, lean back, and pull with your hands. learning them on flat is good practice.....just hop then land in manual.

The way I learned it was after watching NSX6 at Axx's house we rode in the driveway and kept going "I"M WADE SIMMONS" and hopped up curbs.......then he did it and I was like......cool......then I tried it and did it........and I was like........cool.........what a stupid story

Now with my gimp leg i can barly hop a curb on my team dh :)

I can't get over a curb in one go. The back hits all the time. I can do it very slowly and nothing hits but not all at once. Co-ordination goes with age I guess. You have to always have something to shoot for in this game though!

I can hop up onto something about waist high (34") on the hardtail, or about 2 feet on the DH bike...... hopped over benches on the hardtail, and they're a comfy sitting height, so about 2 feet I guess.

I don't know the height of any of those things, anyone measured the dividers? Also the picnic table was a standard wooden one and not one of those ones made from recycled plastic (those ones are bigger and slippery)
