thank you:)
Might be worth it to hold out a bit for the pass. I bet it's still mushy up at Whistler.
If it were me, I wouldn't get the frame with out riding it/testing it out.
You could always ride your current bike until you save up some major bling to get a Morphine:thepimp: Matching Banshees.
David

that would also be a good idea.
but then maye not enough for a pass:???:

Does nobody else see a problem with buying a bike that is admittedly a .243 rip-off? How about a little support for one of our local framebuilders by NOT supporting companies that are cheating him.

ummmmm....the entire bike industry is rip offs of one another.
how many Azonic parts/frames have you ever used?
Do you use Shimano XT disc brakes?
etc etc etc
it still doesnt make it right. but i dont have money and everyone else here is saying to get it. besides its only a temporary. i may just end up getting a BMX instead. who knows.
If I had the money for a morphine i would get it in a second.
I have test ridden both the morphine and the matrix (as well as the .243) and they both feel nice. Money is the real issue. It would just be a skatepark/watershed ride. I still have my big bike for whistler.
if i got it, id be setting it up pretty non-burly. 24" singletracks (im pretty sure they make em), 2.3" michelins, XT V Brakes, etc. i wamnt something light and maneuverable.

Good luck finding 24 inch michelins ;)
24" singletracks are oem only i think. i wish i could fine a 24" mich :)
doesnt FOX have cdn patents to his frame design? what makes a 243 a 243 is its burliness, and its geometry. anyone who wanted to make a nice ride could just check .243's website and jack the geometry numbers. it wouldnt take an engineer to figure out the rest of the necessary dimensions...

Yea, I'm with Shmoe :P
It's the Kuwahara matrix?! That ain't a .243 knockoff, is it?? I bet it's mad pinner... the Kuawahara I mean
Zaskar

well...same material...same geometry...about a pound lighter... no holes in the gusset. and the guy i know who rides one is Dave Clark. number 1 bmx racer in BC. races DS and DH in mtb....i dont think hed reccomend me a piece of crap. also ryan meyer (from IDNS) is one of my riding buddies and he broke his 2002 Norco 250 and has since gotten this and no troubles.
hahaha i didnt realize michelins didnt make 24. damn :( i guess maxxis or something. who knows. but they better have 24" singletracks somewhere! i want some lgiht 24" rims.
skip the singletracks d00d... remember how easy mine cracked?

A kid once told me "you just ride your stuff". Well that is what you do when you stumble upon the opportuniy to ride in Whistler! You ride your stuff that you just got!

Ironically, I have a set on my bike right now; that controversy was never really cleared up, though. Anyway, I thought I'd point it out because Eric's a local guy scraping it together to have a go at it, and if he can't rely on the local peeps to support him...I don't know, I just wouldn't feel right riding a Kuwahara that was a rip off of a local designer's work.

I'm also with the "don't get a catalog frame stolen from a local company" crowd. It just seems wrong. There are ethics in business as well as in consumerism. Please buy ethically.
Da bomb frames are a ripoff of .243 as much as .243 are a ripoff of the balfa MM
