I think you are missing the point. Blair has some other issues now which prevent him from having the same access to money. Such as the fact he no longer has a job, a license( they take it away until he can get hand controls and retest) and he and his parents have to spend thousands on a wheel chairs, making thier house accessible, medical care and the percriptions for the hundreds of pills he has to take every day just to be able to live to name a few little ones. It's not just the fact he can't ride his bike now, it's that his whole life has changed and needs some support from this community. I could go into some of the very personal things that Blair is faced with every day now, little things you don't even think of, but I am sure you don't even really want to know.
Makes my bike getting stolen seem like a bargain.
