hey guys,

this summer im goin on a road trip with my parents thorughtout BC and a bit of Alberta. We plan on hitting places such as, Whistler, kamlopps, canmore, Rossland(Rozz-Vegas!!!! :rocker: ), osoyoos, penticton, kelowna, and then prolly back home(nanaimo). Now, my parents are experianced riders, my dad especially, they ride a lot of XC, like all the time. My Dad will ride most DH, and he can keep up with me most of the time. I need to know if there's a way to ride sum of whistler WITHOUT taking a chair, and wut kinda easier stuff there is in loops to ride. Preferrably Rose Hill.

Anything would help,

thanx

Brett, I'm definetly older than your Dad and have no problem on Rose. He can go around any of the stunts he doesn't want to do. Also at Sunpeaks there are lots of green runs from the chair and all trails are all marked with easy ways around if you feel that the stunt is too big. Silver Star is the same, he might have a little more of a problem at Kicking Horse where it gets pretty vertical in places.

The Whistler valley has tons of sweet xc stuff for the parents to ride... no chairlift needed. You can pick up a contour map with all the trails marked on it and rated for dificulty ( both technical and cardio). Some trails to hit

A River Runs Through It.
Thrill me Kill Me
Shit Happens
Sec 102
Industrial disease
White gold and Lost Lake areas.

and if your feeling strong you can do the climb to the microwave tower and hit Babylon By Bike and Tunnel vision.

There is also some awsome riding in Pemberton a few minuted north of whistler.

Hope that helps.

There are trail maps located all throughout Whistler that are free and details the locations and distances of all the XC trails. You can actually ride from Squamish to Whistler (you need a guide). Enjoy.

if you mean whistler mtn when you say whistler, you can ride up the road, two trails that are well worth the grunt are cybers and ride dont slide, Its ewok country on those trails, and no drops, probley 2hours from the village and a loooong ride down .

Pemberton is much more fun though.

Hey!
Aberdeen is great, nice climb to the tower, then great single track and some stunts on the way down...make sure you do the one that comes out at Pineview valley. Also, the three gates trail that goes from Juniper to Barnhartvale is pretty good, there is a jump park at the Barnhartvale end. Sun Peaks is opening at the end of June, wicked trails that appeal to everybody, Sugar and Sweet One are amazing!!!! Contact our LBS and they'll hook you up with maps etc..
have fun bro'
