A message & request for help from Richard Juryn of Shore Events Ltd.

LSCR Trail Days – April 27th and May 11th
The Mountain Bike course at Camp Brick is used for High School events including
the BC Championships and the BC Junior Mountain Bike Festival and also the North
Shore Enduro. It has quite a steep hill in it that is very challenging and
virtually unrideable – especially when there are people doing multiple laps.
We have received permission from the LSCR to put in some switchbacks to make
this hill more rideable for all ability levels.
Experienced Trail Builder Dave Moody from Pathways and Gonzalo and Jay from the
Sanctuary Foundation have all volunteered their time and some considerable
expertise and manpower to help make this course a better ride. And yes you
guessed right! We need your help.
If you have sometime on this Sunday April 27th or Sunday May 11th between 9:00
AM and 5:00 PM it would be most appreciated.
We will have plenty of free Jones Soda and some great draw prizes to help the
day speed by. Here are some things to bring along:
2 Litres of drinking Water (old pop bottle works great)
a good lunch
lug tread shoes or boots
rain gear
work gloves or old riding gloves
sunny disposition
optional:
Shovel
20L Plastic buckets
hard tined rake
Put your name on all equipment if you want to be sure to take it home when you
go...
Orange spray paint on handles of rakes and shovels will keep things visible when
laid down
I hope to see as many of you as possible out on these days to help out!

camp brick is the scout camp on seymour mtn. u take a different road up the mtn past a graveyard and past a gate and yes there are definetely some good trails back there......and for the idiot that said "well that hill isnt to bad u can just hike ur bike up in a race", maybe the fact that they want to put switchbacks in would be to help make the trail more 'rideable', and so ur actually able to ride it and even those beginners tryoing to pull 1 lap out can get it done, and hopefully ride the whole course.

camp brick was such a horrible campsite.

It's an old shooting range. It sucked for camping. I didn't know there was an MTB course there though!
