Hi, I’m from Norway. My buddy and I have plans to travel to Whistler summer 2009. We thought that tent camping would be nice, where is the best place to camp? We are planning to camp there two or three weeks. Where has to be laundry opportunity and some other facilities.

Any other tips on where we can live? We will be greatfull if someone could take their time to help us alitle.

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

Regards, Johan Stensholt from :norway:

There's camping at Riverside. I don't remember the website, but search Google for it. They have showers, indoor bathrooms (Not outhouses) and laundry if I recall correctly. You're probably looking at like $30 a night, though.
You have another option of using www.alluradirect.com (http://www.alluradirect.com). You can probably find a place for around $60/night for two weeks on there. You'll probably have to wait until the new year and towards the end of ski season, but that's where I go to find a place every year.
There's also Staff Housing. I don't remember how much it is, but you can check the website or call them. Search for it on Google as well. And I think there's a hostel or two as well. Once again, search Google.
Good luck man.

You should really consider getting a room. It won't cost you too much more, but it will give you a lot more freedom, as you can lock up your bikes and gear.

Hvor i Norge er dere fra? ;-)

If you are positive that you are going to camp then go to Riverside Campground. But i would also suggest looking for a room.

We will be looking for a room. Any suggestion?

Keep me in mind when you want a tour of the trails. I live here in Whistler and am always happy to show people around.

After only ONE day at the park, YOU WILL WANT A REAL BED..Trust me.Plus like others have said camping will keep you stuck in your tent with an eye on your bike 24h a day.

Sorry I dont know much about lodging accommodation but if you're going to spend all that money to come out here you should really consider getting a room.Perhaps you could rent a small RV ?
