Well, the bike park season is winding down. What are peeps general opinions of the year? Myself, I was up 5 times & may go the last weekend. Took my 11 year old son up twice with himself mostly doing CIU & B-line. Didn't get enough of the Garbo in, but improved on some other trails. I had a better time last year and felt more of a vibe.

First off, I have to say how fast it all went by! It seems like yesterday we were shovelling snow off of a-line to get the park open by the original weekend in may. I had the best season I've ever had. Last year I only got to ride until June because I got a surprise hernia and had to get surgery that prevented me from riding again until the next winter. So I definately made up for it this year! I am extremely pleased with how well this year in the park went, and Brain did an awesome job! Props once again to the WBP crew, I can only look forward to next year. I'd say the crankworx week was the highlight of my riding season of '08. Good times with everyone I don't normally see much.

Ninja Cougar was so smooth! It was very wise to close it when wet. My main riding group only made it up once with me, which kinda sucked. I discovered Renegade this season & met alot of people from all over. We are truly lucky to have WBP & the Shore so close.

How many times do you have to go to make a seasons pass worth it... Thats how many times I went.

It certainly went by quick.

Whistler certainly was a blast this year. The trails were as fun as ever, and the boneyard layout was amazing. Can't wait for next year!

Got 12 days in, maybe squeeze one more in next weekend. Good times all around. I really enjoyed it. Rode less and less of the jumpy trails as the season wore on.

I rode the mountain once, even though I was there for two weeks straight. But due to bad weather and other priorities, that's all I managed to fit in.

despite having my worst crash ever, i've had an absolutely amazing year at the bike park. thanksgiving weekend will make it 11 days for me (which is pretty decent considering i only have every 2nd week free). going to miss it, but winter is a time to work on trails and do other things. i'm already looking forward to next year.

Whistler season is winding up! We hit Garbo today and there was a dusting of snow across the peak only just above the top of the gondy. We rode some techy shit-in deep to little alder-fatcrobat, and it was soupy but a hell of a time. Despite Freight Train being roped off from the container jump down, we still hit the top third, then side track to rengade, too tight was sweet and of course aline crabs & DM a few times too. The tribe just got in two great weekends of back to back 20 000+ foot days and look forward to having a few more helpings before we pull the plug. Had a great end of season up here, and it ain't over til the fat lady sings!

I'm sure once the snow really starts to fall, I'll get hyped up for snowboarding, but for now I'm interested in a longer summer!! I hope I can get up top one last time this weekend.

Any thoughts on how wet the open runs will be on Friday (assuming it clears up for Fri)? Full on rain gear for the mud fest or will DM, Aline etc dry out pretty quickly? I haven't been up in a couple weeks so I'm not sure how saturated everything is these days although I'm guessing its very wet.

IF it clears up, lower mountain drys evry fast and DM/Aline will be mint and good to go. rain gear shouldn't really be all that needed unless heading up higher. But that all depends on how much rain we get in the next couple days...

Well, the park was excellent today - drying up as the day progressed! Dress warm for the mornings - 2 deg in the village in the morning and heavy frost on the trails! Have a good weekend everyone... (and be sure to check out the deals as Summit - if anything is left - my carbon fibre Troy Lee for 225 - tires half price - dakine luggage 1/2 price... what a day - great riding and great deals!)

well I had two days of riding in Whis this year. Had my baby girl 4 weeks ago and it was great to get up there, as I wasn't sure it was going to happen. Was pretty funny to be all armoured up and splitting my time getting some air, and breastfeeding! Summit lent me a Flatline and I had SUCH a great weekend!!!!! Many thanks to Nina and Dan for looking after Jess so that Tippie and I could get a couple of runs in together.
