So much for 30% chance of showers late in the day =/
I had to drive back to Vancouver barefoot because my shoes were soaked.

Not the best forecast ever, it's true. The Shore was the same, but weirdly enjoyable today. Good times. At least the rock still grips, some of the Garbo stuff scares the crap out of me in the wet.

fun but wet day today.................too much to bear after three hours of rain and mud and sand, and it was time to go home. oh well, good times nonetheless, and at least I didn't have to race the Cheakumus Challenge like my friend who destroyed his drivetrain and couldn't finish the race. don't cha love the park sometimes?

Well it might not mean much to most people but I hit the big GLC drop for the first time ever, the A-Line rock drop for the second time and the creek gap smoothly and without crapping myself, all in one run.

I also rode ninja cougar early on before it got closed (and without skidding) and therefore had my best ever day in the park.

really happy right now.

Next is the container step up on freight train. Surprisingly it's easier than any of those drops... It's scary because it looks like it will kick you straight up, but no just ride up to it at a medium pace (slower than crank it up step up small side) and it will just pop you up ontop of the container.

Oh yeah, its now top of my list of things to do. I had a good hard look at it today and feel pretty good about it, I also actually watched Connor hit it and he wasn't going very fast at all.

next time for sure.

Too tight was classic! River running right down the middle of the trail. Love the mud!

Well that was my first time in the park this weekend, on my new SX Trail 2 as well. Girlfriend also tried out riding for the first time hiring a bike for saturday. A few runs down B-line before she got too cold but she's lookin' forward to next season and having another go. For me, the new bike rocked. A cautious saturday spent on the blues, sunday i headed off to sample some of your black stuff. Stuck mainly to Freight Train, quality fun. end of afternoon dropped into A-line on the way down, can't say I went for the drop but next season i'll be on it. Excellent weekend, might have been wet but those of us from Scotland are more than used to that!

You stopped at 2? Wussy

To top off the whole day, we ended with a pissed off bear chasing us down expressway after dumping out of little alder. The bear stopped chasing about 30 yards down the road. Not fun at all.

Lower indeep and goats gully were a bit much Saturday. I obviously was missing my big-boy-pants.

I know I know...I was just poking fun :) Considering how fresh you are off an injury, it's quite impressive you wandered up there even once!
