If our governments really want to promote biking, they need to make it so it's
hard to steel a bike. Check this system out. Leave it to the Japanese to figure
this stuff out. If you had one of these every few blocks, you could commute to
town on your bike, leave your bike in this secure "bikade" and go to work/shop/party
etc. And you wouldn't need to carry around a 5lb bike lock.

I don't see why not, the rail looks long enough for a DH bike and wide enough
for dh tires too.

I saw a demo 8 on a old bus rack yesterday, that nearly fell out.

EDIT: I'm also surprised they don't show the classic of someone leaving a combination lock on the bike, and are surprised to find that a thief just slowly went through all the numbers. Its happened to be before :(
