Fire on Sumas Mtn.

I heard on CKNW that there was a fire on Sumas Mtn. today; it apparently started in some logging debris. I hope all is well with the MTB trails up there! Sending out positive vibes to the FVMBA folks!

From the location of the smoke it looked like it was behind highland quarry which puts it quite away south from any trail.

From the abby-mission highway it looked like the only trail it may have a chance of being close to at all is Emma Peel. There was quite a bit of logging in that area and the news reports indicated it was in a logging slash.

I might head up there tomorrow and check it out.

went up today, its in an area not near any trails, there were fire fighters at the bottom of the mountain but they let us continue up and when we came down they were gone. you could see the smoke from the road above the noah fear exit road, didnt seem too big at all.

the new dh trails you guys put in there is amazing!! great fun i cant wait to ride it again when i make a trip back out west!!!!
