Just had one - I swear I have discovered the greatest food ever.

Ingredients:

one egg - free-range organic taste the best
cheddar cheese
tomato (again - organic - local FTW - I used an Abbotsford one today courtesy of former mom-in-law)
mayo
cheese scone from Thrifty's (pay attention - this is a key ingredient).
salt and pepper
butter

Fry the egg in butter on med-low heat - end up with it over easy

Slice the tomato and cheese and throw the scone in the toaster

When the egg is just about done - throw the tomato slices in.

Pull the scone out of the toaster - lather with mayo - then (in order) on the bottom of the scone place egg - cheese - tomato - salt and pepper to taste - top of scone. Press down to break yolk.

enjoy - I couldn't help but moan the entire time I was eating - the cheese scone is the real topper here - just the right mix of sweet and cheese - mmmmmm - I'm getting hungry again...

sounds oh so good (minus the cheese.....i no likey cheese). i also like fried ham in my fried egg sandwiches. after frying the egg i turn off the stove and put a couple of thin slices of ham on the pan and put the ham on the sandwich afterwards.

sounds ubber yummy. at my mom's old restaurant i used to eat the left over scones and put ham in it and it was good.

For a real treat, fry up some bacon first and then cook the egg in the leftover grease. That combination of bacon fat and egg yolk was solely responsible for turning me back into a mean eater for a short period back in the nineties....

must..... resist..... bacon......

Now I fully understand the importance of the sandwich in question. There is nothing better after a heavy night 'o' fun than a quality egg sandwich.

So tell me, was the scone one of those "shit, i got no [email protected]' bread!" magical substitution kinda moments or did you plan this thing? For future consideration; bacon would not have been a bad move here.

I had bread and the scones - I figured "Hey - there's already cheese in the scone - so that would make it super cheesey!" (total magical substitution moment)

Ya - bacon for the next one...

I'm a busy man and with all the extra saturated fat in my diet I'm also too tired
to make aioli...(I jest).

Growing up in Hawaii, you get used to Mayo in everything like potato salad and
macaroni salad etc, on fish (rub mayo on you Uhu "parrot fish" cut up some onions
and 1/2 stick of butter, wrap in foil and bake). There's a reason there are so many
very large people here.

When I lived in Cali, my abuela used to make the best food, and homemade
aioli (we used to call it alioili) is the best.

My abuelas potato salad:

boil red potatoes, when done immediately put into cold water (use ice cubes
for a more "stiff" potato)

Cut potatoes into 1/4's, using fresh aioli coat potatoes in aioli in bowl and add:
Cut red onions into rings (coarse)
Cut tomatoes into 1/4's
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil
Vinegar (red wine)

Toss and eat.

Goes well with Paella, Gambas and Melon

if you see an crackhead chick walking down the hastings do you feel compelled to screw her, cos she's there? leave it the fuck alone. canned mayonnaise is good for fries - that's the only use that comes to mind. definitely not sandwiches.

sorry but i don't like cheese. taste and smells like athlete's feet. i just picture you guys eating some dood's smelly ass feet. eegads that's gross!

now, i do admit i will eat havarti grilled cheese sandwich and of course pizza. but that's it. and only as that way.

if the missus melts mozza or havarti on my pasta...toss it in the garbage cause i ain't touching that. mozza grilled cheese? nope no can do. so weird i know but i just can't figure it out.

whenever i go to the restaurants i say no cheese i'm allergic (even though i'm no). just cause if i say i don't like cheese. it never fails, the next question is "so you don't eat pizza?".

oh to the mayo haters......if you go to a chinese restaurant, don't order the prawn fruit salad. or any fruit salad. they smoother it all in mayo.

i once had peach pork chops and it was smoothered in a peach mayo mix.
