Here is what we finally got for Bee.
Knolly Endorphin (Fox DHX 5.0 Air)
Fox Van 36 (FSA HEadset)
RF XC crankset
Syncros factory hubs, handle bar, saddle, seatpost, stem
Mavic 521 hoops
SRAM X0 rear D and shifter
XT cassette, SRAM chain
Shimano XT front D (SRAM X9 shifter)
CODE Brakes
Blackspire magnesium pedals
Laced up the hoops last night (DT Swiss double butted), probably throw on the BB. Cranks and fork tonight.
Thanks go out to everyone for their suggestions and help, you are all awesome!
I will post up more pics as the build continues......

OMG.
That's ridiculous, like in a good way. Hovever I am curious why did you guys go with a van and not a float?
Very curious to hear the weight on this build...

weight was a concern but not a hard line. It was a tough decision (along with the rims and cranks) to go with the burlier gear and in the end the better performance (in my opinion :) ) of the VAN won out.
I am hoping she will be using this bike for the more gnarly rides and continue to use her old lightweight bike for the XCish rides.

I build it if you get me the parts. :) Probably not what you meant though.
Sure will post it up. When are you heading to Whistler next? I will be there for the last weekend of Crankworx but I am also trying to slot in another session before then.

There does seem to be a black and white thing going on......
@Seand, maybe next time she will join in the fun. Simon was making the trannys on CIU when we were there last. Too bad we got so separated. We kept our eyes open all day but didn't find you again.

Simon had more stoke going on than the rest of the riders on the mountain combined! We were loving how much he enjoyed being on his bike; you sir are a lucky LUCKY dad :)
I saw you getting on the lift a couple times but we never saw you again. :(
wheelbuilding is fun.
nice rig.

Nice!
But if you REALLY loved her you would get the Juicy Carbons. They're lighter good for all mountain/freeride/DH and would match the colour scheme quite nicely!

Thanks for the suggestion but I didn't have that as an option on the brakes (I did try though but it didn't work out).
The bike is almost done, just waiting to resolve a seatpost issue (bad clamp), stack height on the fork and we should be good to go. She rode it around a little last night and seemed to be pretty happy with it.
I will take a picture of the final build and post it up here tomorrow......

Yeah, it was great to see you and Simon up there! I kept looking for you guys throughout the day, but didn't see you again after we separated. It's a shame, I wanted do a run and see Simon riding- I can believe he was tearing it up, he was just oozing with giddyness!
We'll be up there at least one more time this season, we'll lt you know when we're heading up. :)
Bee's bike looks sweet! Nice choice.
