The guy shooting the video really trusts his sense of balance.
Reminds me of that series of shots of some hiking paths in China that are chunks of chain attached to a cliff, planks across supports on side of a cliff etc. Anyone know which ones I mean?

it looked crazy fun, until the eroded and missing concrete came into place.

Oh my god, I have to go there. That was amazing. Just to make everyone less scared, the cameraman was clipped in for large portions of that. Still amazing.
We broke into the old Canada Malt Co building in Montreal to take photos and talk to some pretty crazy people who squat in it, and there were some parts where we were like 300 ft up and walking with our arms out in case the floor gave way.

I was thinking that too until he walked straight past the guy who was clipped in, and I didn't notice any gaps from when he would be clipping over anchors.

Also he was filming while doing all this. So the guy was unclipped for at least a bit of the video and not really concentrating 100% on footing

That was built I think at the turnm of the century for workers to get to a water source or something. It's in Spain. It is closed...officialy... but some folks need a thrill. yeesh. Wouldn't catch me there. At least not without protection but how well are those anchors attached? How old are they? If the "trail" is decrepit are the anchors likewise?

I was guessing he was using a helmet cam due to the way the camera pans.
The whole structure is in rough shape as seen by the amount of concrete that has rotted and fallen way.

That is what amazes me the most about the video. He seems to trust that rotten concrete with his life. He puts is hiking boot right up to the hole in the middle of the concrete. If that part is busted out can the rest of it be far behind? Also the speed that this guy walks over the trail, it doesn't look like video has been sped up because the other hikers seem to walking at normal speed.
I'm betting this isn't the first time over the trail for this guy and his nards are away as bigger than any bread box.

The original email I received a few months ago had about 10 photos in a similar style. The video you posted me reminded me of them.

Reading about the chinese climb gave me a bit more respect for the average chinese hiker.
No WAY would I risk my own life, never mind my wife on that trail. Nope, not worth it.

We had planned to hike it the last time we were down there but I rolled an ankle on the bottom of Porcupine Rim in Moab so had to stick to the flat stuff.
I'd imagine a few people here have done this one.

Well, at least you'll be more aerodynamic Matt.
Weird that everyone is all 'No way I'd do those hiking trails in China'. I mean, when was the last time an non-rider got a glimpse of what the average person rides on the Shore? They say the exact same thing: That's crazy/dangerous, you're crazy/dangerous, why would you want to take a risk like that?
People like danger.

I got to thniking about your post, and at first I was like, "yah, he's right."
Then I thought more and relauised that ppl like danger have a LOT of saddle time, and really aren't taking HUGE risks because they have worked up to what they are doing.
There are people out there who free climb routes far more dangerous than the chinese one, and it isn't totally nutbar because they are experts and have worked up to it.
What makes the chinese route nutbar is the fact that most ppl climbing it are novices, rookies even. I understand you can rent a harness at the bottom though...
I've done Angels Landing and just watchig that vid gave me way more jitters
You must be crazy then....honestly, how could you walk this Angel's Landing thing?
