So, the powerline July 4 race is almost always greazzy. It goes over and through
rain forest and close to the wettest place on earth.

The red stuff is clay and real slippery, the whitish stuff is also clay and even more
slippery.

Edit: 12 miles total (and it's ALL like that). 8 straight up, no down or leveling off
until the top (~300' @ start top is >2200') then it's ~3 mile up down (1/3 up, 2/3
down). These shots were taken at the beginning of the down.

frack! and I thought erosion was bad on our trails...me downs tools for the next decade and just rides ....

I see lots of grins.... :)

That's what happens when you let mountain bikes on your trails...j/k

The "trail" is really a power line that they use to access the power lines. They
use helo's now days, but you do get some 4X4 guys out there too.

Try riding UP that stuff!

And yes, good fun. Once I got to the down hill, I had a smile plastered on my face.
