Have a friend visiting from Ottawa. Have a hardtail w/hyd/discs to lend him and one day to do a ride.
Guy is an avid road biker so fitness isn't an issue. Fact that he's never done any mtn. biking is.
The guy is incredibly bright. Worked w/Ballard on fuel cell technology and gave a presentation to Harper and company on alternative energy. If anything happened to his brain on this ride I'd have to kill myself! :eek2:

Any suggestions of a ride west of Port Mann up as far a Squamish(could be out and back) where we'd gain enough elevation where he'd be rewarded w/views and that would include some singletrack on the way down that would not throw anything too technical at him.

Thanks in advance............

Road ride up Mt. Seymour - then ditch the bikes in the woods and hike out to Dog Mtn (1/2 hour) - great views of Van and up Lynn Valley as well.

Credit line in squamish has one of the best views around IMO.

this is an excellent idea.

unless you drive to squamish you won't find any nice singletracks with a view.

the hike to dog mtn is super scenic just not a bikeable trail.
