http://cvmtb.com/content/cumberlandmapzoom.aspx newest version of the cumberland map. New yellow trails are some good fun, bucket of blood has been interrupted by logging but we're on the mend as soon as we get some rain... A fun one is up the logging road, down the new Bear Buns, (not labeled on the current map) then over across the river to teapot, around and up steam donkey and back down off broadway. The DH course is always fun, grub / stub is a good hike but a good ride still. All of cumberland is ride up / ride down. If you want another option head over to forbidden for some new stuff like cabin fever... http://cvmtb.com/content/forbiddenmapzoom.aspx
pm me for more info - probably be some rides that weekend - you staying at the riding fool?

Is this a riding or music festival, or what? I am such a fan of this area for every aspect of living and riding.

Wellll - it's a music festival - but Cumby is a year round riding festival! So its kind of like having a music festival in the middle of a non-stop riding festival!!
(the more I think about it, the more I am sure I will move to Cumby some day...)

Sounds like a good way to start a Saturday! Early start? 9 ish gonna work? I have to be home at noon to get the boy. My Fraser Valley bud Steve will probably join us.
Is the tree still down on Pity? I have time Friday to clear it.

Are you meaning the tree at the bottom? leave that one - it's been down for a long time and makes for a challenge to limbo...
if its a different tree then ok.
Yeah, it's still down and needs to be removed.
I'll see what I can do about getting out Saturday AM for a shred.

Do Bear Buns and Off Broad way. Just spent 3 days in the area and those were my favorite trails. Can you say Loam. I need to win a lottery, I could so live in Cumberland.

I just got back from cumberland. Camped at Comox lake for the week.
Thanks Andrew, for being our guide.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Cumberland trails - Off-Broadway Loam!! Tied Knot fun.
Thursday: Mt. Washington - No line up - great trails.
Friday: Forbidden Plateau. - That exposed rock face!!!! (& the high speed twisty rip at the end)
Saturday... Too freaking hot. Rest... drink beer. Swim.
I could see myself living there one day. So many options. I need to explore Forbidden more.
Thanks again.
